  2. I'm sorry, but the policy is not to change user names as they are generated automatically. Please take a look at Account user names will not be changed post.

  4. The file/directory is writeable by others means that the permissions on the file/directory are set so that anyone can modify the contents of them. The permission should be 755 and you should be able to change it with your FTP program. As for how to tell if a file was uploaded in ASCII or Binary doesn't your FTP program produce a log as it's uploading? Looking at the log you should be able to see how they were uploaded.
  5. Since you do not have shell access the only way to get this done is use Rob's idea above or you can open a help desk ticket and ask if they will do it for you.
  6. Don't know if you have fixed this but the page loads fine when I try it. Or is the probelm when you try to use it?

  16. That's right and it's a number between 1 and 20 excluding #7
  17. I have an idea, the script used to create those directories are not owned by you so you cannot delete them. Please open a help desk ticket and they can remove them or change ownership for you.

That's strange, usually it's the other way around.
  20. Well, I have SBC DSL and it's been working for me. And yes, that's what I am saying. I have an email account set up in my sending program that logs me into the SBC SMTP server with my SBC address but the emails have from "support@my_business.com" and reply to is set to same. It's not a fail safe solution but as long as it works I will continue to use it.

  22. Yes, some will. But I have had my customers white list the email address and I've been successful. Only have one customer having a problem.
