That should be "server46.tchmachines.com" You can stop getting the certificate errors if you choose not to send encrypted emails through port 25 or port 26 you would use your own domain name for that.

Not quite sure I understand what you are asking? Isn't it your cpanel name and password?

At the top of every forum there is a Forum Options button. You can subscribe to any forum using that button. The server forums have dedicated posts to remind users to subscribe to them.

Welcome to the forums marcelk I'm sorry that it took you so long to find the information. Cpanel is pushed out onto the servers by the cPanel people so there is not much that can be done at the moment as you suggest. I would recommend that you subscribe to several forums here and you will receive email notices when new threads are created. Subscribe to your servers forum as well as the web hosting policies and the general announcent forums.

Check you theme files. Edit the single.php as you have with the index.php. Since the sidebar content will be cached it should not be that big of a performance gain though.

Your .htaccess file should not be changing unless you are using something in cPanel that would cause it to change.

I would install a fresh copy of the SMF forum into a forum directory and then apply any mods to it that you have already done. You can use the same database with the new install. Just edit your config information to do so. Then uninstall SMF from your root folder and install the other package.
