  1. Not entirely true, if the permissions are set to "nobody" which some scripts have been doing lately you wont be able to change them to 777 or any other permissions for that matter, unless you have root access on the server.
  2. This is the version ported to PHPNuke And this is the stand alone it is a litlle rough looking, I have been trying to get the template like I want it.
  3. I had the same issues with Gallery, I never could get it fixed right. I had to put in a help ticket to get it removed when i got tired of messing with it. I switched to Coppermine becuse the have a utility to help you get around the permission problems and it is included in the new release. not sure if Coppermine is what you want in a photo gallery but it is an alternate solution.
  4. Add on domains are disabled on non reseller accounts, as far as i know thats the only feature thats disabled. PHP is not running in safe mode, We do provide IPB as well as PHPbb, we also provide several options for chat via cpanel...java, html and php, there is no limit on them that i am aware of.
  5. The reason you are getting those warnings is because the site certificate doesnt match your mail server name, you can just ignore them

  7. I just downloaded netscape 7 in your mail propeties on outgoing server SMTP on the use secure connection option set that to never and give it a try, you can also specify the port right below the server name, some ISP's block port 25 so you can try 26
  8. keep in mind "use secure connection" and "my server requires authentication" are two seperate things. Most ISP's dont support using a secure connection, especially if it is connecting to a server that isnt theres. It sounds to me like it is trying to make a secure connection but it cant because your ISP doesnt support it, try it with "use a secure connection" unchecked. If there is an option for "my server requires authentication" try it both ways, with it off and with it on. And lastly, maybe your ISP just doesnt allow you to use an SMTP server that isnt their own, if all else fails set your outgoing (SMTP) server name to whatever it is for your isp, you will still be able to send and recieve e-mail from your domain's e-mail account.
  9. Installing the forums isnt to hard, I used PHPbb, if you can read you can install it, their instructions are very detailed.
  10. As mentioned before, if yout current host uses cPanel we can do a server to server transfer at no cost I believe the PHPbb we provide is 2.0.3 I'm not sure on that since I installed my forums myself. Live help is normally available during normal business hours, I'm on the support desk 8-10 hours a day most days. (anywhere from 8am - 7pm CST, and often times much later especially if there is a server issue) you can also contact most of the support staff via AOL instant messenger, If I'm awake i have AIM on. tchgurubill tchgurumike tchgurumitch tchgururick tchguruandy
  11. Yes, all you pay is $4.00 to get started. All you will need to change is the DNS settings through the registrar that you purchased your domain name through, we have several flash tutorials listed in the FAQ and how to section of the forums on how to change them for most of the more well known registrars.
  12. nukecops.com is the BEST place for phpnuke info
  13. Yes,but I'm not sure what versions it affects.
  14. I can see your page just fine, minus images...are you putting your images in the /_borders folder? Becase that is where the url is trying to link to Also, I noticed the e-mail link at the bottom Send mail to totalchoice.com with questions or comments about this web site. You might want to change that to your e-mail address, since if someone does e-mail us asking about your site we wont have any idea what they are talking about.
  15. Hi, if you havent gotten it to work, try using the IP address of the server instead of a server name, for server 34 it is 69.50.194.230
  16. for username are you using name+domain.com or name@domain.com? if you are using the + try switching to @

  23. Hiya Chuck and welcome aboard!
  24. 1. Cost is not a major concern 2. Want to use it for everyday, shoot from the hip kinda of photos (but with good quality) 3. Open to models and brands, have been looking at the CoolPix 3100, 4300, 5400
  25. Considering all the photographers I have seen here, I figured this is the best place to ask. I am looking to buy a digital camera and the choices seem endless. I want something small but of good quality. Would like to go with a Nikon, but I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
