  1. Could you please add my new website to the family? 1. URL = www.homewriters.com 2. Title = homewriters for writers at home 3. Description = I read others writings, to evaluate for content and meaning. 4. I have a totalchoice hosting link at the bottom of both pages. 5. I do not need and evaluation. Thank you ...... Ted
  2. Thank you .......... Ted
  3. Actually, a small prifit isn't what I am hoping for. A profit would be so much nicer. Oops again. Ted
  4. Sorry, I see my mistake is in the way I organized it, so I copied the message from Digital Dreamscapes and changed the names to protect the innocent. Please add my site to the family members page. 1.free-diet.biz 2.The name of the site is free-diet.biz. 3.free-diet.biz distributes a diet for a small prifit from the shipping & handling. 4. We have a link to Total Choice hosting at the bottom of our main page. 5. Please do a rank evaluation.
  5. Hi, I just finished my website and hope you will allow me to join the family. the URL is free-diet.biz and I have intention of giving away a diet, but making a small profit on the shipping and handling charges. I would also be interested in a ranking, since I really don't know what I'm doing, but have hopes of learning so I can set up 2 more sites. Thanks, Ted
  6. Thanks again, The mystery of the disappearing pages was finally solved by the support team telling me to use a little common sense Naughty I have a cable modem and never shut off my computer so I can scan for viruses while I'm sleeping. So every time I would do anything, the pages weren't refreshing and I was seeing the (page shadow?? echo??) whatever it might be called. The original page I uploaded was something I was playing with in Frontpage, before I bought a domain or registered here to find out how poorly FP is, compared to a novices dreams. I just replaced it with one that seems to work as far as I can see. I have to get this one right before I can start on the next two, and totalchoice was the right place to come Rock Sign I'm off to learn more. Ted
  7. Have just loaded to public and www and still have nothing. The last time I had everything loaded just fine and waited a few hours before posting a quarry. I did nothing at all and the pages appeared the next morning when I went to the site. That is why my original question is "how long am I suppose to wait?". I have sent in a ticket with the same question. I have loaded my site 6 times now. I had pages this morning, but replaced them in hopes of the images looking better. This is getting frustrating. Ted
  8. Thanx, I'll try again. Have been openning publilc.html and loading from cpanel, but just uploaded from FTP Commander last time. But I'm sure I won't have images........ I did ust read a thread and 22 images were not visible to me...... May have a different problem than I first thought. Ted
  9. Hi, I had two images that wouldn't come up on my site (free-diet.biz) so while reading 100 posts to find the answer, I decided to delete the whole thing and start over. That worked fine for a couple hours (but still no pictures) then it is back to nothing again. I still have everything loaded... I can see the files in there. So I guess I wait for this propagation thing again, eh? How many days is normal waiting time when you make a change on your site. I've had mine for two weeks now and still wondering what is going on. Ted
  10. Thank you, that probably was the problem. The page magically changed to mine today and everything looks normal from FTP Commander and cpanel. Now I just have to get the pictures seeable again. Ted
  11. I have now uploaded my files 4 times to my public.html folder. Twice using FTP Commander and twice from the cpanel using file manager. Each time they say everything is fine. When I disconnect the FTP Commander, then connect again, all the files have disappeared. When I exit file manager (not the cpanel) and reenter, the files have disappeared. My website has never changed looks, or content as far as I can see, and I have followed every tip I can find, so I'm lost. I used Frontpage, and have named my main page index.html and I use a proxy, but have the same password, and have seen the files in the right place, but they will not stay there. What now? Ted
