In your groups admin section you can specify the colors, go into your admin cpanel, expand users and groups, click manage user groups, choose edit group for the group you want to work on. Look for Online List Format [Prefix] thats where you specify the colors.

Tch Staff And Mod Name Changes
TCH-Dick replied to TCH-Dick's topic in Family Forums News and Updates
thanks, all fixed up -
I've added a link to the server status page to the top of the forums, its about the center of the page up top, next to Chat LIVE with a support tech!
-
You might notice a lot of new names around here, they arent new people, just new names. All of the TCH staff and forum moderators names are now their first name preceded by TCH- This makes us easier to identify to forum members and just looks more professional.

His text isnt the same color as the background, he just hid the scrollbar

We've made a few changes to the server status forum. There is now a seperate forum for each server. If you would like to be notified every time a message is posted pertaining to your server you can subscribe to your servers forum. To subscribe, click on the forum for your server and scroll to the bottom and click the "subscribe to this forum" link. *you MUST have a valid E-mail address in your forum profile to receive notifications.

Neat Tool --> Tells Your Position In Google
TCH-Dick replied to pkeres's topic in Web Site Promotion
Thats pretty cool, I am actually better ranked than I thought I was for 2 of my key phrases -
I don't know how well this will work. I did a little research and some people are making their index.html page with plain old HTML that reflects the contents of their flash intro. Then this page is setup to redirect to the flash intro. In theory the index.html will be indexed but most visitors will see the flash intro only.

for dbase name are you using cpanelname_dbasename and for username cpanelname_username Also, did you assign a user to the database you created? If you didnt you need to do that first vis manage mysql in your coanel

If you dont register a domain name your url will look something like www.serverxx.totalchoicehosting.com/~username (xx being the server number) When signing up you HAVE to put in a domain name or it wont let you continue, so put in a domain name that you might someday want to register (the domain name is what determines your username.)

the file sm_install.php after install. When accessed from the browser it takes you to a page that says Is this something that needs to be deleted after install and is there any other files that need to be deleted after using the one-click install?

if you just need to filter out certain sites you might look into cybersitter, netnanny, cyberpatrol or other programs like that, they all give you control of what is or isnt viewable from the pc they are installed on.

Also, your using two different connections one at work can see the site, the sprint connection at home cant. More than likely Sprint hasnt updated their DNS record and thats why you cant see it at home.

I suspected something like this might happen, So I had an elite team of garden gnomes infiltrate Bills secret hideout, this is what bill REALLY looks like, hard at work.

Did you upload that file in ASCII mode?

I don't see how that can be, I have NO problems connecting to my databases with DW.

Try this http://www.vinacis.com/public/aoe/rating.htm
-
Yes. just put it in a subdomain and play with it, if you don't like it just go back to cpanel and remove it.

Check the URL Prefix in the Site Definition for example: http://www.yoursite.com/ is the correct setting

Here is a great article that covers the use of image alt text tags http://ppewww.ph.gla.ac.uk/~flavell/alt/alt-text.html

I deleted your other post since it was the same question. you only need to post once, someone will see it and answer as soon as they can.

This is what I would do, sign up for a new account and new domain name, get it all set up like you want, keep the old domain name and site up while you are doing this. Once you have the new domain name and site set up have the old domain name parked on the new one, keep the old site and domain name up during propagation time, this way visitors will always see a site and not a page not found message. During propagation time post a message on the old site that you are moving, if it has a forum or anything that visitors can post on disable it so that once propagation is complete you dont have to worry about moving anything from the old site. After a few days (3 minimum) cancell the old hosting. I couldnt honestly say all tickets will be answered in X amount of time, but like I also mentioned in that post support is available via the live chat (mostly during normal business hours), AIM and yahoo IM. Personally If I am awake and at my PC I have yahoo and AIM on and am more than happy to answer any questions that I can.
