When you are ready to edit the sessions file, it may be easier to use filemanager then.

look at the compressed file to see the folder structure in it. If it contains the files and folders that are inside of your Mt install then you can upload it with filemanager to that folder and select it and at the right select extract it will extract and replace the files and the files inside the folders. This will be much faster than ftp.

DW is adding that, you will need to use a text editor and ftp or use filemanager to edit it. For now use filemager to edit it and clear all and resave or even better replace the contents with <!-- dummy sessions file --> then that should be all you see added.

How did you create the file? with dw? or a text editor and then using ftp or filemanager to upload. I would use filemanager to view it on your site.

Nat what is in the session.php file? Is the extra doctype in there? For includes I use include $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']."/file.php"; without the ( ) I am sure thats not a big deal. look at the included file first.

No, I don't believe turtles should be pets. They should be left alone like any wildlife. there very few exceptions. Don't get me started on this I am happy with the ceramic and plaster turtles I have. For pets I will stick with dogs and cats

It may not be you, it sounds like someone that had your address is infected. These type of e-mail virus send to everyone in the address book of the infected computer. I get the same thing from my sister a few years ago, I had to filter my family address for a while. Look at the e-mail headers to see where the e-mail is coming from.

weezy, in your cpanel look for backup there you will see under download a database the names of all your databases click on each to save a compressed backup of the database. Later if need be you can upload them on the same cpanel page.

If you installed it from cpanel > scripts > osCommerce then go back there and look for an uninstall link for that script below, you can select the current one to uninstall in drop down menu. If you don't see it, then yes, delete the folder in filmanager and the database in phpmysql. You can always install another osCommerce in cpanel later. Before you do this, you may want to save the database incase you want to use it later. Goto cpanel > backup look for download a database click on the name of the database and save it on your computer.

Welcome to the forum oggie I don't use phpbb, but before upgrading be sure to make a backup of your site and database. use cpanel > backup click on home directory backup to download a compressed backup of your site and below that download your database. That way if the upgrade goes bad you can upload the home backup and database to get back to where you were. I am sure there will be others here soon that can offer help or advice on the cron method.

Daniel I think i have the newer 24 hour book, I bought it about two years ago. Another site to look at is Half Price Computer Books if you have a local barnes and Noble, its a good place to browse and look at the books before deciding what to order.
