Keep it simple and put your other pages in the same place name them what you like but use lower case and no spaces like about.html or about_me.html and link to them in all your pages like a menu of pages on your site.

Did you upload the photos? are they linked to in your page the same way they are named? case matters, so checked that. And avoid spaces in your files and image names you can use an underscore as in image_name.jpg And are they in the same folder as your index.html page or a different folder if different folder are you linking to the full address of the image with out a link I can't say why, just guess.

Thats good but back up to the Variable #2: $FILES step and they tell you to create a folder above public_html called dada_files You need to change the permissions of the dada_files folder to 777 so Dadamail can write to it. And that is where your lists are stored.

John, cpanel is not the best tool for uploading a site. It was not meant for that, but to manage your account.. To upload files, an ftp program is best they have two windows one showing your files on your computer the other showing a folder on your web space you highlight and drag files to the other window. just be sure to put your home page ( the index.html file ) in the public_html folder as that is where your domain name will lead to. A free program like Core FTP light is a great way to upload. set up is easy I posted a screen capture in this post on how to configure it. hope this helps.

A few days of at least learning enough to read the html code that makes up a web page will reward you many fold. Even if you end up using a fancy program you will still need to know a little html. I started with a book and put the examples on my computer and played with making changes to see what happens. And then I was hooked

I just noticed that your images are being displayed at a smaller size than they are its best to size the images first at the size you need this will prevent the image from looking jagged. if you need an image program to convert or re size IrfanView is free.

On XP home a non destructive re-install saves the registry first and then reloads all the original files and restores the registry. So I think you still have the old registry.

Welcome to the forums visualcreative To have the second domain name resolve to your current account open a help desk ticket (link at top of page) to the techs and ask to have the second domain name parked on top of your account. This will make the second domain resolve to you account but retain its domain name. If you just want the second domain to go to your account and not retain its name then your domain register account (where you bought the domain name) may have a forward mode. If you want to use the second name for another site in the future then you will need a second account. Let us know if this helps.

Welcome to the forums and the family Nick. I am not seeing what you describe in IE or FireFox. On your menu, other pages than the home have a rollover effect with an underline but the home page this is not working and the menu text disappears when the mouse touches the the links. Also I see you are using the GIF format for your photos. GIF are not suited for photos as they only have 236 colors You really should use jpg for photos. With 50% compression jpg image will be smaller in file size, faster loading and look good. Hang in there I am sure DW users will be along soon to help you.

Its best to follow their install page slowly step by step and you will see ONLY the list folder is above the public_html folder. When changing permissions right click the folder or file in your ftp program or if using file manager select the file name (not the folder icon) and on the right select permissioons and the check the boxes to change. The first time I printed out their install page and it was easier to follow.

I would open a help desk ticket (link at top of page) to the techs to have them check it out.

You said one and only one folder for coppermine there should be other folders inside of the folder you created for coppermine. And then uploaded the coppermine files and sub folders inside of that folder and then change the permissions for the files and folders inside as per the tutorial.

invision 1.2 is still in your cpanel under addon scripts SMF is a very good forum. Its up to you to install what you want, just be sure its up todate and secure. Welcome to the forums Erick If your current host has cpanel the techs may be able to transfer your site for you. Other wise you will have to down load it and ftp it to your space here. When you sign up you will get a welcome e-mail with the ip address of your accounts server so you can ftp to the ip with your user name. Sounds like you have a good plan to switch over. One more thing you might think of is to forward your e-mail on your current host to your isp e-mail That way you won't lose any e-mail during the transition. Can't help on the flat file to database. But as they are files they will get transfered when the techs or you copy your files over. If you have any more questions, please ask.

For me hotlink protection as enabled through cpanel has been nothing but a headache. It works for a while then stops and no images can be viewed even on my own site. I gave up on it. There are some that say you are better off adding your own protection to your .htacccess file your self rather than using cpanel. if you serch for that on google i am sure you will find more.
