  1. As for the conversion ipb > smf... I have never done it but it sounds like you need to create a database first. Here is a movie tutorial on how to do it.
  2. If you upload the file to your account and submit a ticket to the help guys, I think they will be able to restore it for you. Just let them know exactly where you put it.
  3. Welcome to the forum, Cygni.
  4. Welcome to the forum, Vasco.
  5. I did a domain whois which tells me propagation began yesterday if I understood it correct. Propagation may take up to 72 hours. Until fully propagated, you can see new site one second and the old the next second.
  6. Sorry, I don´t know the answer to this but... Welcome to the forum.
  7. I am not sure if these are correct, but I found 3 possible reasons for error 550. Please see this page if any of them make sense (about half way down the page).

    Webmail

Marie is correct, Neomail is no longer supported by TCH from August according to this post.
  9. I had a look at their f.a.q´s and all it says is: If you did this and it still gives an error you should contact their support I think.
  10. Welcome to the forum. This sounds like that the propagation has not finished yet assuming it was less than 72 hours ago that you set your nameservers. What is the domain name and we can have a quick look?
  11. I can be wrong, if so I apologize, but it sounds to me that you have uploaded the file to the correct folder but did you also change name in the code for the logo as Tom describes above? Example... Lets say that the original code for showing the logo is and you replace that with a logo named logo4.gif then the logo will not show up unless the code is even if it shows up in filemanager etc.

  13. Aspell is no longer supported on TCH. Please see this thread.
  14. Which ftp program do you use, Jules?
  15. Yes. Anything you want visible on the web goes in to public_html. Sorry for the confusion. I just mentioned html files since I read it in #3.
  16. Welcome to the forum, JM.
  17. Hello Anya, I have no answer for number 1. May I ask what ftp program you use. It might help those that knows ftp better, to understand what the problem is. If you want to park a domain on the other, please do the following:1) Go to the registrar that you registrered your domain with and ask them to point that domain to the nameservers that are listed in your welcome email for your hosting account. 2) Submit a ticket to the TCH techs and ask them to park the domain on your account. Thats should be all you need to do. All html files that you want to publish must be published inside the public_html folder. This you can do in a variety of ways. Either with a ftp program, cpanels filemanager and I believe that many web-programs have some sort of ftp built in already too.
  18. Welcome to the forum, Paul.
  19. Welcome to the forum, awstewar.
  20. I just spoke to Michelle on the billing department. If you have a answering machine, they will leave a message and you can call back. Otherwise they will try again in a few days.
  21. Hello Anya. The billing department will have this in mind when they call. So I think you can sleep well. I am not sure what will happen if you don´t answer when they call but you can always submit a ticket and ask. Link on top of page.
  22. No. It´s two signups. Hosting account and domain are two different things.
  23. Hello, The best would be if you registered a domain first due to these reasons. 1) When you sign up for a hosting account you will be asked to enter your domain name. After sign up you will be sent a welcome email containing login info etc. Until the propagation has finished (see #2), you will have a temporary way of uploading your files to the account/url, but this is not a permanent way to upload etc. When propagation has finished you will need to use ftp.your-tch-hosted-domain.com 2) Propagation reasons. It can take up to 72 hours before a domain properly work from all parts of the world. So in my opinion, it is best to register the domain first. Hope this helps.
  24. Hosting two or several domains on same account, would only be allowed on a reseller account unless parked on each other pointing to the same content. So in your case, it´s correct, 2 virtual accounts would be what you are looking for, unless going for a reseller.
  25. Well, TCH have moderators and staff located all over the world, so you will have your questions or tech issues answered/fixed quickly no matter what time it is in any part of the world. Of course, there are times when it may take a little longer to answer, but it´s rare.
