Would maybe a shade of blue help? The letters on the black background are now a bit easier to read.

I think it looks pretty cool. The only thing I find wrong (and maybe it's just me) is the white above the letters makes it hard to differentiate where the letters end and the flames begin. I'd maybe play around with the background color a bit, too. (It's not for HG's new pepper bar at Quizno's is it?)
  3. I just opened and resized it in both Firefox and IE and everything appears to adjust accordingly. What specifically are you seeing that is not correct? Oh...and welcome to the forums!
  4. Interesting site I found while cruising some Amateur Radio web sites: MADIS Surface Data Display This allows you to zoom in on certain weather sites and observe their last reported weather conditions. It also includes buoys in the Gulf of Mexico. This site should be interesting as Hurricane Katrina works it's way northward.
  5. People around here were nailing stuff down yesterday. (Of course, we're understandably a little jittery anyway!) Stay safe, Curtis!
  6. Also, per Don's suggestion, (and personal experience) I'd recommend create a backup of your database /web site on a regular basis. Glad to see it's working again!
  7. It comes up for me now...did you fix something?
  8. Well, I've got all my fans turned on pointing south. Hopefully it'll work! Needless to say, everyone here is keeping a wary (or rather a weary) eye on this thing!
  9. Welcome to the forums!
  10. Quick update. For those who don't know, the hurricane made a sharp turn south just as it was about to come on shore in the Miami, FL area. I lost power in the hotel at 6:30 last night and was still out when I left at 7:00 this morning. I'm now home in Pensacola, preparing things just in case. While I don't wish a storm on anyone, it appears to be moving more west of us. I just hope it keeps going that way. When I left the Ft. Lauderdale area, things were pretty much what you see on TV. Lots and lots of water and many trees down.
  11. At least we can't blame "hanging chad's".
  12. Just remember...You need to learn to crawl before you can run a marathon.
  13. Welcome to the forums!
  14. Gee...talk about deja-vu! Seems like just last year I was here in south florida going head-to-head against a hurricane. Oh wait...it WAS last year! But it's a minor storm, and I'm tucked safely into my hotel room with my water, munchies, and ham radio. So I'm all set. Let's just hope that THIS September isn't like LAST year!
  15. ...on your web browser.
  16. FWIW...TCH runs backups once a week. When did you make backups of your data? It's ultimately up to the individual to ensure that they have current backup's. Once it's happened to you, you'll be a lot more cognizent of the need to do it. (I'm speaking from experience here...twice!)

  19. Kathy, I can testify from personal experience that the script author reads and answers every single message on his forum. He has helped me out on numerous occasions...even when I do something dumb and forget to enter something! I would advise you to check out his site. If you need the URL, send me a PM and I'll get it for you.
  20. You are so right! Thanks for the kudo's.
  21. Welcome to the forums, dori! Once you've gotten everything, stop by the Introductions section and "officially" say hi to the family!
  22. Sometimes it's a good thing to be paranoid! Sounds like you have a pretty good plan put together.
