  6. Already done that, that is why I came here, as it might be related to the changes with the mail system, but after discussions with Andy, probably not by the looks of it.
  7. I have done a fresh install of Coppermine 1.4.12 to start from the beginning again, wasn't a problem as it has been basically blank for a while anyway. So first off, I did the Fantastico 1.4.10 install and then ftp'd the new files from 1.4.12 up over the top as per the instructions of Coppermine upgrading. When setting up the albums etc, discovered had several pages where I got error pages where I shouldn't have, like albums, my albums, members list etc so I decided to just delete the whole lot again, and start just with the 1.4.12 script files and go through doing the install manually. Well after that, I logged in and setup some albums. Decided to try the registration process and a problem I have struck is that the email notification after I receive the email telling me someone registered and clicking on the link takes me to my gallery and then tells me that an email has been sent to the new registrant, but they don't receive it. So I thought this might be because they used Hotmail as that has changed a lot over the past 6 months or so and deletes emails that seem to be spam. Well after that I used one of my main email address for my ISP and again never received the email about acceptance as a member. So I thought OK, maybe the SMTP settings need to be setup, so I set them up as per normal email address as in using mail.domainname.com.au and using the administrator email address as username and password. But still not working. So I left them blank again as per normal setup. So I tried sending to one of my domainname accounts and got it to sort of work. Having a look on Coppermine forum this seems to be a problem not just for one person but quite a few. Suggestion was not to have Admin Activation and Email activation both turned on, but I have tried, it all ways. I want to basically not have someone just register and get an email that allows them to activate, but vet who is registering and allow who I want, so I can maybe cut down on bot registrations. Anyone struck this problem and resolved it. I thought it might have something to do with the changes to the email system that TCH has recently been setting up on all the servers.
  8. Coppermine 1.4.12 has just been released as well. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89658 That was a short time between updates.
  9. Same as Don, everything works fine.
  10. Yep it is on here in Australia. Well the occasional one starting before the rest of most of the world is not a common occurrence here.
  11. I believe the only way you could do that, was to automatically resize the window to less than the screen size that it is being shown on.
  12. Fair point Deverill, and yes I did mean bloated.
  13. You need to use Bookmarks.
  14. Since this new system has started, I have noticed a major decrease in the amount of spam I receive. What used to be up-wards of 100 a day is now down to around 20 or so maybe less. I had to delete my main email address I used and use another one because of the amount of spam I got, up-wards of several hundred a day if not up to 500 at times. Really started to annoy me. But this seems to work.
  15. And then there is Adobe Dreamweaver as well. Dreamweaver is the most used application by web developers world wide, as it has everything needed to build websites built in to it's interface. It also allows for posting up to websites pretty seamlessly as well through put and get clicking. I have tried just about all the bigger web page design programs over the years and yes Frontpage was a dog and still is with all it's belated coding when you view the webpage source, something that Microsoft will always do with any and all their coding. NVU is very good and is totally free as well, I have it installed and it is great to get info to display correctly. Don't forget you might need to look at php files sometime in your development and there are many php coding software free out there as well. Like PSPad Editor, love they way it just loads pages and displays them with no problems, also how it colour codes the lines as well. Remember each to their own, we all have our own likes and dislikes with software. And I have been using just about all general day to day Microsoft Software since their conception so have seen that good and bad with their software.
  16. Or move to a reseller account and then lodge a support ticket and have them combine your individual plans with the reseller account and then you can cancel the individual accounts. That way you can have as many domains running as you want to setup on your reseller account. Makes it much easier to control things with a reseller account, even if you aren't reselling hosting, it is worth looking at. http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/web-hosting-resellers.html
  17. any idea when it might make it's way into cPanel. It is a security update as well. Version 1.2.5 http://www.phpcoin.com/mod.php?mod=downloads
  18. Just to add to Andy's reply, this link http://totalchoicehosting.com/help/id95.htm might also help to explain it as well. Secure website and navigating it can be a bit of a mystery if you haven't gone there before from a web design side of things that is.
  19. I downloaded it and it looks quite blurry on my monitor compared to IE and Firefox, after seeing it had been out for only 12hrs and exploits were already happening, decided not to use it, although they have released an update to fix the exploits which compared to Micro$oft is miles ahead of their updates. Still prefer Firefox or Maxthon, very fast and easy to use.
  20. Not a rule at all as far as I am aware and I have been selling equipment in IT for over 16 yrs now. Never been asked to do things like that. I would think it is just Dell playing along with the jingle to get sales off the back of Intel. Do you remember the jingle and who to associate with it when you hear the jingle. If so then the marketing is working well.
  21. Can you get into Safe Mode at all. If not then I believe your only course is to boot from the Windows CD and do a repair install which might fix it. I have this experience in the past on the occassion where I changed video cards, and didn't roll back to a standard VGA card prior to removing and installing. If it is the Network card or the network is on the motherboard, either take out the network card or turn off the network on the motherboard and see if you can then boot up either normally or safe mode.
  22. That would be both Paul. I was asked this question by someone who has a website that is in the large size screen and when people view his website on their say 15" montiors at 800 x 600 he says the website looks like s*** fill in the word.
  23. Is this the same for where you want your site to display correctly on all different screen sizes. Say you design a site and like me have a 22" monitor. But someone is using a 15" monitor so it would look wrong. Some sites I see, can detect the size of the monitor and adjust the website to fit correctly on different monitor size/resolutions. Like 800 x 600, 1280 x 1024 etc etc etc.
  24. Haven't changed your graphics card by any chance have you.
  25. Looking at using one of the three scripts included in Fantastico but don't know which one to use, without having to go through installing and using then to find out not a good one to use. Looking for safe, reliable, easy to use, a bit like idiot proof in some regards. All advice appreciated as always.
