Hello, I have to say I am a fan of thunderbird also but to help a little with that NIS issue, when I used to use it if I had to do a CRTL + ALT + DEL on my system I noticed that when it booted back up I couldn't send mail so what I would do is remove the account from outlook, restart the system again and then re-add it and that normally re-configured the NIS again. I say give me thunderbird, zonealarm and AVG anytime

Hello, No need to feel foolish, the databases where gone when you logged in (probably a mySQL restart) and you submitted a ticket for a genuine issue that worked itself out moments later. Nothing foolish about that. Whats foolish is when your walking down the stairs and trip over your dog or trip up on the street and stumble a bit, compose yourself and try to make it look like nothing happened
