This has been around for months, if not longer. The only safe way to avoid these things is to never click a link in your email. Just type the address directly in the browser. =)

There are lots of ways, javascript etc. But all of them can be gotten around. The best bet is to use watermarking to make the image harder to use. =)

Those forums are for announcements from staff only. I can contact those servers fine, though. If you are still having difficultis, please submit a ticket to the Help Desk.

You can use the one-click install which is 1.2 as you noted, or you can purchase and install the later released from Invisionboard. You are not restricted to what can be installed via cpanel, though. =)

Cron only sends an email on failure - so just for future reference, if you get one, that's a bad thing. As far as your error - it looks like it doesn't have write permissions to the folder you're trying to save to. You might check the permissions and see that they're 666 (I think that should do it. ) Hope that helps!

Not to do your daughter's job - but accessing the 'net from the library can be invaluable epecially when more current information has sources online or points to a helpful resource online. Or when lecturers include online sources in their review material (which happens a fair bit in one of my classes). Plus, it can be very helpful to be able to store something online (in case you don't have the laptop) and then be able to grab it wherever. Anyway, I'd definitely go with the card, it's worth it =)

make sure you test this from your phone; I'm fairly confident that most mobile phones will not read iframe tags. =)

I'm not really understanding what you're describing, but you may consider an iframe for doing this. =)

I'm not sure if there's a breakdown of the ranks (that's what they're called on this software package, I believe). You may just have to post lots to figure it out! *winks* (edit) Northampton is gorgeous - the trees are beautiful right now. I am not looking forward to it getting cold though.

*nod* that design seems to work. The only concern I have is that the arrows obscure the text under it, some padding could fix that. =)

Yes that works. Clicking on it causes my browser to freeze while it pops up a javascript error, though. Remember - clicking is a common thing for links, that could cause issues. Also something to bear in mind is useability. People are trained to look for the browser scrollbar - they are not trained to look for arrows in the bottom right corner of the screen. Much of your content may go unbrowsed / unnoticed / unfindable due to this. Depends on the design, ultimately. =)

Just be aware that many of those are IE only and won't work in other browsers (including mine) they are clearly marked. =)

You can view their code by view source, and their css is easily findable. There is no scrollbar adjusting code anywhere on the site. Just firefox being wonky. =)

I'm not seeing that in firefox. It could be the difference in the length of the scrollbar or could just be a rendering issue with firefox on windows. If you note, the css colors you posted are not being used for the scrollbar or it'd look a lot different. My scrollbar for both sites looks like your scrollbar image on the left (the one for the forums).

I am confused, their scrollbars look like normal firefox scrollbars in your screenshot, as well as when I visited using firefox. What are you seeing that makes you ask? =)

Those levels are just the number of posts that you have on the forums. =) If you post/pm me your domain I can double check your site is hosted here, but just a whois/lookup should confirm that. But if you think you have one hosted here you probably do...? =)

Having your site hosted here makes you a member of the family. Note: domain registrations and site hosting are seperate processes - you can easily have your site hosted here while your domain is registered elsewhere (as all of mine are, because well, they have been for years ;p). Does that answer your question?

As long as it's g / b compatible (I'd get one that supports both to be sure) she should be fine. I have a powerbook with airport card and easily hook into Smith's wireless hotspots constantly. Other than that, I'd suggest you (or she) contact ITS (or their equivalent - Information Technology Services) and ask them. =).
