I just finished redesigning one of my sites and I thought everything was okie dokie. Ran the pages through a couple versions of IE, FF, Mozilla and Opera. Everything looked fine. Then I got a phone call from someone local telling me that using the browser that came with their Yahoo DSL account the site looked great - with the exception of 2 pages. Ouch. pages in question are: naugatuckarts.org/choir.html and naugatuckarts.org/band.html The main content doesn't apper until after the right-side menu column ends. I don't get it. Same template as the other pages. I'm guessing the error is identical on both pages but I'm at a real disadvantage because I can't see it. If anyone that subscribes to yahoo dsl could have a look and let me know what they see I'd appreciate it. If it is in fact messed up I'd appreciate any suggestions as well. As always, thank you. *sigh*

Was cute until about halfway through. It actually caused FF to crash. That has never happened to me before.

Thanks Rob. I got it working Was an oversight on my part. I neglected a settimg when I overwrote the old password in the database table book_auth I still think it's strange that it happened at all. Darn thing just stopped working.

Just may be. It's also not as open as I thought, or at least no worse that it was. So I can leave it for now I suppose. I'm still open to suggestions though Thanks.

Thanks Don. Yea, I saw that thread and I dumped my password so now I can get into the admin console but I can not reset / add a password. I click "Password" and it just spins it's wheels. If I then go back to phpmyadmin and clear the session and try again it just sends me back to log in. I'm stumped

I guess JohnO had the problem yesterday and I've dicovered it today. I can't get into my guestbook admin. I also don't recall how to reset it. Pfui. Any body could help please? Thank you I feel like one of the Slowskys today

I did a search and found This I'm also thinking that the files could be resaved with the Brother WP itself as ascii or a less formatted file that MS Word (or whatever she's using) can read. Hope it helps.

Awstats is eating up my 850mb disk space. I only have stats on the server for 2 months (plus 4 days March). Is there any way to trim awstats features? I certainly need some but not all. Granted it's a fairly busy site but it always has been. I've just never seen the stats eat up so much space before (site's been here 3 years )

Thanks for that David, and thanks to everyone else who responded. This is far from the first issue I've had with NIS and probably not the last. If it weren't for TCH - Andy helping me a while back on the problem of NIS injecting code into pages I wouldn't have thought to look there at all. So I'm guessing there is no way to block a domain if there are no headers sent? I have another related issue / question but I think I'll start a new topic

I found the problem! And I'm none too happy about it. Thank you Norton, you piece of ............ um family forum Ty, be nice. Ahem Norton Internet Security 2006 apparently doesn't send headers or something wierd - I don't know what-all except that when I turned it off temporarily all the blocks and domain-based redirects worked perfectly. Ok, I searched a bit and found that NIS does NOT send referer headers by default. Grr, this has some nasty implications then doesn't it?

Nope, nothing lurking about to override. Permissions set to 644(?) I originally tried this on a large site, on a different server, with an already large htaccess file and it didn't work. I thought hm, strange, let's go test it from a smaller site with a really small htaccess just to test. Didn't work there either. Then I eliminated everything in the file except for the snippet(s) that won't work.

No luck. I've tried all of the suggestions I can find, tried implementing them on 4 different sites across 3 servers. That has me convinced that it's me but I'm pretty sure I'm doing them all correctly: >RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} ^(http://)?(www\.)?boxturt.*$ [NC] RewriteRule .* - [F,L] This is starting to stress me ouuuuuuuuut!! Ah well, I'm still trying

Still no luck, and it is the only thing in the file. I should probably mention that I've tried it on a couple differnt sites, on different servers, with the same results.
