  1. So do I. But that doesn't mean that I can't keep posting to try and eliminate the gap between Ayman and myself.
  2. I'm just proud to be in the top five.
  3. In my quick perusal of Mailman just not, I do not see any explicit option to do just that. But through a combination of a few options, you can accomplish something like what you want. In the Privacy Options page for the list, turn on "Must posts be approved by an administrator?" and "Restrict posting privilege to list members? (member_posting_only)" and then add your address (the address you want to be able to post from) to the "Addresses of members accepted for posting to this list without implicit approval requirement" list. You would probably also want to turn off "Send mail to poster when their posting is held for approval?" in the General Options page. With these options set like that, anybody other than you will have any attempts to post to the list held for approval, which you can just deny. Any posts from you will automatically go through and out to the list.

SpamAssassin is right there in CPanel. Just one click and it's enabled.
  5. I love my Palm Vx. And I'd even use it if I was allowed to take it into work.
  6. Whew! Good thing I registered my second .org domain on Wednesday.
  7. I'm trying to remember where I've seen that message before. It's been a number of years. Maybe it was in Pine?
  8. Are they using IMAP by any chance?
  9. Not a problem. I think most of us were tripped up by that one time or another.
  10. The mailing list software we use is Mailman. You can find more information about it here: www.list.org
  11. Do you try logging in as 'accountname' or 'accountname@******'?
  12. Yup. Public_html is where the web pages go.
  13. PhpMyChat is available directly through CPanel. I just used it for the first time tonight, and I was very impressed.
  14. #!/usr/bin/perl is what you want.
  15. Okay, here's what you can do: 1. Download the file yourself. 2. Login to your CPanel 3. Click on the File Manager link 4. Click the folder icon next to your 'www' directory 5. Click the upload file link the top, and proceed to upload the file. 6. The filename should then show up in the File Manager window 7. Click on the name of the file, and then click on the 'Extract File Contents' link in the upper right 8. And you're now done. Double-check by clicking on the folder icon next to your cgi-bin directory, and then on the icon next to the library directory (if it's not there, something went wrong). You should see a file called whois.pl there. If not, then something went wrong. 9. If everything is okay, go back to your 'www' directory and delete the file you uploaded. And that's it.
  16. I imagine that the defaults are being set somewhere in the PHP code then. Given time, I could probably track that down and either show you what to change or just provide the patched file for you.
  17. What's the folder name and what specific error code are you getting (403, 404, 500, etc)? You can also check your Error Log through CPanel and that may give you some idea as to what might be going wrong.
  18. Where is this folder located? Is it in your top level directory (i.e. alongside public_ftp, public_html, and www)? Or is it in the public_html or www directory? If it's in the top level directory, you will need to move the folder into public_html or www. If it's already there, check the permissions on it.
  19. I went ahead and deleted the /.trash/catalogs directory in your account. I apologize for missing the /catalogs directory the first time through. Darn head cold.
  20. Does this make you my third cousin now?
  21. Wouldn't you have to give him some bread too? I don't imagine a toaster would be a terribly tasty meal, and I doubt it would last for the man's entire lifespan.
  22. It's nice to be "official." Now I have real power.
  23. Be sure to keep an eye out for false positives. Once a week or so, I'll get a regular email that finds its way into my caughtspam folder usually because it violated just enough of SpamAssassin's rules (long lines, too many links, too many 'spam phrases', and so forth).
  24. In addition to adding lines to the header, if it actually does spot what it considers to be spam, it'll reformat the mail and add text to the beginning of the message explaining why this was considered spam (what SpamAssassin rules it broke, etc.).
  25. Well, to be honest, I actually run SpamAssassin on my home machine instead here at SNH, mostly because I aggregate mail from a number of other email addresses. But, even then, all I did was enable SpamAssassin. I didn't touch a single config file, so I imagine I'm using whatever the default setup is.
