Any directory under your public_html should be fine, just make sure your link points to that file.

I wouldnt, FP and other editors put all the HTML code in there as well. This is nothing more than a simple text file. If you dont have an FTP program you can use the file manager in cPanel.

For your internet connection? I dont use any but if you do, go with several unrelated sites. Remember you can get low results if there is extra traffic on the path to the site you are trying and if you continue to visit the same site clear your cache after every visit or your results will get better each visit.

It isnt? All my old company used to use were Dell Laptops and desktops. A little over 600 of them in the building, we had switched over from Compaq. Having that many we saw some flaws in some machines. But it was just that, "some machines". They are computers, we only switched because we got a better deal when we were upgrading and the support that we needed was a bit better. I wont buy a computer, I prefer to build it. That is just because I "know" what goes in it. Really though, I wouldnt sweat what brand if I were to buy a premade one, for me it is the best bang for the buck.

Well, my thinking was that if you defined the table dimensions you could use the PHP include function to display that page data in the table. Something like; <td> <?php require('required_file.php'); ?> </td> OK it is the require function but you can include a header or footer on your site in a table so I figgure one can include a page into a table. I have no idea what I am talking about really so this may not work. I should stop thinking out loud.

oscommerce.com is where you can find out about the cart. You can accept payment via a number of different ways, PayPal, check/money order or your own merchant account. Although my site is a work in progress with OSC you can see what can be done with it by clicking the www under my post.
