It may not function as you want it to. I would rename the otherblog folder, delete the subdomain in cPanel. Re-add the subdomain in cPanel, delete the folder it creates and rename the otherblog folder back to what it was.

If you are talking about uploading via FTP to your new site before you change the name servers to us than you will use your FTP program to connect to the IP address that is given in your welcome letter and upload all of your files in your public_html directory.

Welcome to the forums. I would look at osCommerce or Zen cart and see if they fit the bill. We have many users running those carts. As to the package you need you can always upgrade or downgrade as your needs change. Get what you can afford and take it from there.

OK, no MAC needed. Too pricey for me at the moment. Windows based machine is what I am looking for. Bottom of the line is ok for me as e-mail and taking notes is about all I will be doing. My desktop will be my main machine that handles my real work. I just need something inexpensive that I can do school work on, I am not taking courses that require real computing power. With that I will not need much RAM nor hard disk space. As long as it is fast enough to run an office suite of some kind I will be happy. Scalability is not a big issue either because I will donate it to my daughter after I get through school.

Hey guys, I am starting back to school in a few weeks and was thinking about getting a laptop to be able to do school work on. I do not need anything that has a great amount of memory and whatnot. Just something for email, notes and regular course work. Anyone know of a good brand that does not cost an arm and a leg?

Unfortunately there is not much that can be done about it. This is becoming part of a domain owners life.
