Kendra, I will give these a go. Although not horribly dificult, there is a little learning curve to them and I know with osCommerce you can integrate it to look like your site. I will say that it is advanced work to get it there, you cant just click a few buttons and BAM! perfect match. You can have a form on a secure (shared or no) page and have the information sent to you. NOTE - I do not like this option. I think this is the best option. Does your current merchant account offer web services? Nothing is fool proof, the safest option is to have it sent straight to the merchant company, anything else has great potential for theft if someone knew the method (saved in a database, emailed from a form) in which it was kept. They enter a username and password to access a particular part of the site. Cant put cc info there I say not as safe, talk to your merchant about web services.

Lets rephrase it a little then. We do not support it. You can only have sub.domain.com. Sub.sub.domain.com will not work here.

That would line them up nicely so you only need one or two shots, it is the plan I would take.

Well, if heat makes Robert a ghost for being in Vegas then Glenn and I must rule Hades for being in Phoenix

well, I was on Trillian and they were on AIM so there may have been translation issues. Not sure but it was a bit funny.

I found the MOD in the forums, it wasnt Ian's. and I use Lindas header tag controller. Gave me good placement in searches too. It works well, you can get an idea by clicking the www icon under my post to see how it works out on my site. I had the beginner plan with over a thousand products and had plenty of room to spare, I was able to take about nine thousand visitors or so on that plan. I say get your account here, set up your shop and get it going and then change the DNS. This should allow your visitors to get the same pages no matter if they are getting new or old DNS.

When you uploaded your images to the image folder are they all lower case like the images show in your code? Is m_agata.jpg spelled just like that in the same case and not M_Agata.jpg or the like? Edit: Nevermind, they are in the corect case. I cant open them either after saving.

you automatically get a default email address when you sign up, cpanel username@domain.com. Spamers send to anything they can try at your domain and some make to this mailbox. You can delete them. You can also create a rule that blackholes anything sent to that address.

I had a friend write me and tell me he was going to get my husband at the airport and would have him home soon. Now I would never call my wife "husband" let alone say she looks like a man. Trust me, it is not taken well and I have the scars to prove it. I let him know that I wasnt who he thought I was, either that or I have a secret life I dont know about. He cut and pasted the text of out IM and my replies had the other persons screen name. This happened between us twice. I can say that it is possible but I think it was an error in how the program was working on a global level.

FYI, this is the same as uploading it to your hosting account and emailing a link. The diference is that you cant upload anything larger than your free space, but you dont have to worry about a company you dont know handling your data for that time period. Not saying anything bad about this service as I havent used it. I just dont want to sign up for anything when I can do it on my account without giving my data out to yet another place.

Sure, have your customer as the registrant and you as the billing/admin. You get the email and they own it. Hindi, Redemption is fun. After a domain expires the registrar will hang on to it for 30 to 45 days as a courtesy to the customer in case they forget to renew. After this time the domain goes into redemption status for about 30 days and then 5 days after that it is released to the wild. Your client has two options. Pay the $90+ fee to get it out of redemption, put it on backorder for $18.95 or so or as a third and least desirable option, wait for it to be released and hope he can get it before someone else does.

Just Want To Say A 'hello' From Belgium :)

Francois, I grew up just outside of New Orleans, no one really spoke English or Cajun (is to French what American English out of a rappers mouth is to proper British English) but a mixture of the two. Maybe it is because I had to listen, or read, into what was being said but I understand you perfectly. Then again South African English sounds a bit slurred Australian English to me so I could just be strange. -
We have our ways, Thomas

Well, without downloading the software itself I cant say. It does have a UNIX installer so all I can say is maybe. Lets see if others have an idea.

Ditto to Dons idea, heck I download my entire site that way.

There is no way to guarantee downtime. It can be minimized by getting your account set up here as it is there and the changing DNS. I use osCommerce on my site with the search friendly URL's just fine here.

downtime: I am ready to move to a reliable fast hosting company and TCH seems to fit the bill. However, I would like to know what kind of downtime I can expect if I move all 3 domains to TCH? If you set everything up here and then change the DNS you should experience little to no downtime. Will email be lost and how long will email not be working? It shouldnt, most email servers will continue to try and send for a few days before completely failing. Space: Does email that is forwarded to external accounts like hotmail.com count towards your bandwidth? If it passes through the servers it does count, so I believe, yes. Can I limit how much space is given to an email account I host at my TCH account? Yes Like can I create a few mailboxes @levens.com and give each one 25mb? Yes Email: Is there virus scanning available if you host email accounts at TCH? Yes, there is some filtering. I did see the 3 webmail software programs you have and from what I can tell it should not be too painful to setup. The only functionality I am worried about losing is the virus scanning and notification that an email has arrived ( a feature of Windows Messenger that I have been spoiled with ). Is there a way to have both of those features at TCH? I am not sure about the notification, unless someone has a script for it. Forwarding only: Does TCH offer free email forwarding and url forwarding similar to the way **** and namesdirect.com do? You can forward all the email you want as part of your hosting account, within the plan limits. Domain forwarding is only done at the registrar level. Or is there only paid plans available? Just paid, at $4 a month starting it's a steal though. Unused levens.net and levens.org domains: I want to keep these two extra domains but do not need anything setup for them except maybe url forwarding to point them both to levens.com. How would I do this with TCH? It is called parking and we can do that. Do I still need to sign up 3 plans even if I only want to use levens.com? Nope, just say "park it" in your signup.
