  1. Stealing! (gasp!)
  2. Thanks for the update Bill. Keep us informed (not as though I had to ask, you always do )
  3. Good, glad you found it.
  4. Heh, I hear you there. I'll take a more in-depth look at it when I get off work (provided someone hasn't come up with the answer yet).
  5. Hmm... after a quick pass-over I really didn't see anything that would cause that. A quick run through the W3C CSS Validator did give an error though. Probably not the answer to your problem, but it could cause you problems later down the road. See the results: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validat...&usermedium=all Edit: Basically, what that says is on line 12 you've got "margin-top: 10 0px 0px 0px;"... after that 10 you need to put a unit, such as "px" or whatever unit you're shooting for. PS: I hate CSS problems they haunt your sleep... but I love using CSS for my sites
  6. Thanks Steve and Bruce, I was a bit confused by that.
  7. The pages haven't updated since March 17th... what's goin on?
  8. Thanks for the fast responses guys. I'll forever be amazed at the level of support I get at TCH. Now if only my other "investments" would give me these kinds of returns...
  9. Quick question, do I have to purchase my SSL certificate through TCH? Or can I provide TCH with one I purchase seperately, and just get charged the $35 install?
  10. Glad to see it was resolved... I'll keep this in mind (though presently I don't use any get commands, but you never know what the future holds...)
  11. Thanks Bruce... I forget the servers I manage aren't exactly "production" and it wouldn't kill me if they came down because of an unstable package. TCH, on the other hand, needs to keep things sane on the servers. Thanks again!
  12. Is there any way to "speed up" the cpanel updates? lol just curious, I have no real issues or anything, just like to be "up to date".
  13. I'm like you, I've been using CoffeeCup for a few years now... and since you get lifetime updates I see no reason to pay for anything else (but I do use note/wordpad more often it seems).
  14. As an update to my earlier post about CoffeeCup HTML Editor, kevan_j said it doesn't have WYSIWYG features. While that was true of the old version, it isn't true anymore. While I don't use WYSIWYG editors, I know some people do. I mainly use CoffeeCup for the plain editing. I originally bought it for all the scripts it includes with it, and it even has a flash banner generator built right in. It's worth checking out, and is available as a free trial download. But then again, that's about the only software I've ever paid for... so if you're looking for free, I (personally) use wordpad because it handles UNIX-like line breaks better than notepad does (doesn't display that annoying "box" character on Windows).
  15. Bliss
  16. Hey Bruce, what version of cpanel you got? I'm on Server82 and I've got 9.9.9-stable 15. I know others on TCH have version 10+... I know cpanel pushes out their own updates but sheesh, seems like mine is a bit behind.
  17. Welcome, _root.dan!
  18. Have you looked into any of the fluid cooling solutions?
  19. You know, I didn't give a long enough answer, lol, so allow me to start again. To give you a little background, I have 5 servers in my bedroom alone, on a custom-built shelf. Gets kinda noisy and warm, but only between 2 and 3 are up all the time. I had been hosting my own site, and it worked out wonderfully because my storage space was limited only by how many drives I could shove into my servers. But I wanted my own domain name for my site, and considered purchasing a domain name through no-ip.com (whom I use for my dynamic dns services), but thought I would go "legit" and talked with my cable company. To have a static IP (13 to be exact), domain, and 4gb down/512mb up bandwidth, would cost me $79/month. While that really isn't much, it was to me at the time. When I stumbled across TCH on a google search, and saw the prices, I was sold. A quick peek at the forums, and I knew this company was "legit" (unlike some other hosts I had found, which didn't even have an email address to contact them at). So I bought my domain, purchased my plan, and away I went. I still run all those servers, but now it's more or less a "test bed" before I install stuff (forums, etc) on to my TCH account. Plus, I'm a Linux geek so it's fun to mess around with them. Now if I could only get OpenSolaris to compile... Oh yea, and if anyone wants to see what I mean about the servers, I have some pictures about a few months old located here. Bill, I don't know about anyone else, but I personally would love to hear TCH's story. If you've got the time... I've got an ear to lend.
  20. Welcome Reno!
  21. Alright, from what I gather you want to do "quick edits" of your site (please, let me know if I'm wrong). Your best bet would be to install an FTP client (although you did say something that didn't require installing anything, but this is probably you best option on dialup). I highly recommend FileZilla. Once you log in to the server, in FileZilla there is an option in the right-click menu that says "View/edit", and if you click that, it will download the file and open it. You can then make your changes, click the save button, close notepad (or whatever else was opened), and FileZilla will ask you if you would like to upload the changed file. Click yes and that's that. That's how I've been updating my site lately (however I'm on broadband but I can't imagine dialup taking forever to download an html file (depending on how complex it is) from your server). Admittedly it's been quite a while since I've been on dialup so I may be wrong. Let me know if this is a viable option for you.
  22. Yea I downloaded it the other day, pretty good, except if you install on a laptop and go somewhere where there is no wireless connection (or otherwise), beware, it'll cough on you (nothing major just complaining, but I hate complaining). Other than that, pretty nice. Now if they made the widgets "fly in and out" like MacOS...
  23. There should be a link down at the bottom that says "View Unsafe Images". Clicking that should remove the problem. Squirrelmail automatically blocks images (which are a common medium for spammers to use to verify email addresses based off hits to certain images).
  24. Try to log in to mysqladmin without the -p option to see if that helps. The problem I had is that I didn't set a password, but I did try using one to get into mysql.
  25. I'm considering installing user-space squirrelmail (I have my reasons), and if I decide to do it, I will document how I went about it, what worked and what didn't, and then I'll post a tutorial. Note that I haven't fully decided yet if I'm going to do it or not. So something may come of this, and something may not.
