Yes, but to get the full functionality of each service (IE typing indicators for AIM, HTML display also for AIM (notably profiles), etc.) you need to pay for the pro version. GAIM is free, but not quite as "polished" as trillian. I'm watching with anticipation how Google Talk will evolve.

I placed mine

Ahh, thanks for that Thomas... I wasn't aware you had to download a seperate program. I guess if one would only read the website huh? At any rate, thanks!

Ahh, great! Thanks David! For some reason I thought you couldn't put regular HTML in the signature.

Hey guys I'm having some problems getting my skype button set up in my profile. Here's my code: > However, the link comes out like this: >http://callto//cajunman4life Now how is it that it adds an "http://" to the front every time I save my profile? How do I change the behavior? I know it's possible, because TCH-Thomas' profile is set up the same way I'm attempting to set mine up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I'm eager to try this. Anyone who wants to take part in my test, add me to your list and start talking. Gmail addy is my username here on the TCH forums.

I suppose I could investigate that option. I was just wondering if there was something I could set up through cpanel (modifying my support package sounds suspiciously like work... lol). I'll look into it.
-
But then this poses the problem that when phpSupport send emails to other addresses at my domain (which I don't want on my phone) then they will be forwarded to my phone. I only wanted from one address. I'll just have to continue rolling I guess with everything going to support@mydomain being forwarded to my phone.
-
Ok Bruce, but I want to filter off subject from a certain email address (example, subject contains "problem ticket" and email is addressed to "support@mydomain", forward to cell phone email). Because right now I have everything that goes to support email forwarded to my phone, but I can see down the road some things going to that email may not be relevant to what I want forwarded to my phone.

Also, how does Google Talk compare to skype?

Google Talk is available. I'm at work so I can't try it until I get back to my hotel room tonight (I'm working out of Tempe, AZ this week). http://talk.google.com/ someone post a review if you get the chance. EDIT: Google Talk requires a gmail account. If you've been living under a rock and don't yet have one, I'll be happy to send you one of my 50 invites. Just let me know.

Upon an initial review, there doesn't seem to be a way to tie a filter to a particular email address (unless I'm blind but that wouldn't surprise me). I don't want it to filter all email, only emails to certain accounts. Can I do this?
-
Test complete. It works. Now, is there another way to forward only messages with a chosen pattern in the subject?
-
Ok Mike, I've got the forwarder set up. I'm going to run a test soon.

Alright, well I'm not sure where to file this one, so I'll trust the Mods to do that for me . Anyways, is there a way that I can set up a mailbox to forward all mail sent to it to another address, but still retain a copy in the original mailbox? Say for example, I have a mailbox that I want all emails sent to it (or maybe just ones with certain subjects) forwarded to my cell phone, but I also want the original to remain in the mailbox. Does anyone know of anything out there that can do just that? Man I tell you what, I really need to sit down and learn php... lol. Thanks guys!

The closest thing I can think of would be a wiki... but it's not wysiwyg exactly... unfortunately I'm not certain such a thing exists (save for yahoo sitebuilder or whatever it's called).

Hey Rob, are you ever online in any IM? lol
-
lol... I've been here before. I'll probably move down here, but I haven't fully decided yet. I'm afraid I'll miss the grass and thunderstorms too much.

Alright, I've put in a transfer request for the heat (from Ohio to Michigan). Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for this to take effect (lol).

Hey guys, I'm working out of Tempe, AZ this week. Just thought I'd share some sunshine!

There, all fixed

Alright, I've got it all figured out. I installed phpBB through cpanel (when the cpanel version was still 2.0.11) but I upgraded it manually. So cpanel still thought I had 2.0.11, when in reality I already had 2.0.17. So I removed it through cpanel (after backing up my important files of course) and I'm now in the process of installing it manually, and then I will restore my db. Should take care of the issue

I was just confused as to why it said I specifically need to upgrade my version of phpbb... I think I may have figured it out through... I'll let you know.

Hey guys, I'm a bit confused. I got an email from root@server82 (I have an account on that server) that says I need to upgrade my phpbb installation to 2.0.17 (which I already have... a long time ago in fact). Just was wondering why that happened... and to let you know, so my account won't be disabled or anything because I have an "out of date" phpbb installation. Thanks guys!

Is it an easy to guess address? Like webmaster@domain.ext or www@domain.ext?
