Hello everybody I am planning a heavy informational site that will contain FAQs / Q&As and forum for guest and members to exchange info with one another and a help desk for them to submit problems they may have with the site or questions they may have. and a download section to download tutorials. Ok the reason for the poll Say I have a CMS and I do something that causes the CMS to fail then my oh site go’s down in one shot but if I use separate scripts and say the forum go’s down but the rest of the site stays up right, but on the flipside if I have members that means I have to go to every script I have and insert them as a member and as for themes having the right color combinations though out the site which is hard to do with different scripts no one wants to go to a site that is bright yellow and hurt there eyes. There is a lot of other things to put but you get the idea. Ok I said the basics of it please cast or vote

No I have not received it yet to early I am a customer already with 2 domains I was just wondering the procedure of how the domain is setup like first comes DNS then the space or something like that

Hello everybody ok i have a gallery that am tring to use it is part of a CMS "e107" it is very basic. basicly you upload your images in there directory's and the auto album will make the directories the name of albums and the image names will become the name displayed on the page. plus it will auto thumb the images using gd or ImageMagick. now my problem is that i enter the path to ImageMagick and the program will add covert at the end of it is this correct or must it be /usr/local/bin i put /usr/local/bin and it changes it to /usr/local/bin/convert Plus it gives me this error message Warning: You have selected ImageMagick as your resize method, but "/usr/local/bin/convert" isn't readable! (change)

I know i get antzy when my internet conection go's down, just there other day it did. and i said ok i will wait it should go back up in time na about 15 min later i was on the phone calling to see what was wrong and could they fix it

Hello ever body ok i am doing a test run to see if i can backup a site and restore it now i went to backup in cpanel and hit full backup for the site then i downloaded it to my system them awhile later i go back to backup in cpanel and click on browse under Restore a Home Backup and then it takes me to a page with a arrow up and says restoring backup i left this for about 5min and nothing changes so i figured it was done so i when to my domain and all i got was the directory of page what is happening what am i doing wrong here do i have to submit a ticket or somthing P.S. the site in question is not important it is small like 1 meg if even that i just want to make sure i know what i am doing before somthing happends to my real sites that are like 500MB with databases

Ok first thing first think puzzle I know you did some things already but I would like to give step by step just to be on the safe side 1) Open the original psd 2) Edit what needs to be edited 3) save it some where on your system Ok now you are going to make a note of the files you will be replacing like names and format and how many images there will be in the end. All these images when put together will be one big image Ok now that you know names and format lets continue 4) Open the image you have saved previously 5) In to the menu at the top “go to file>>save for web “Note I have Adobe Photoshop CS so the words may not be the same but it should have something similar “ 6 now here you will see your image if you look to your right you will see a menu with details on how you would like you image to come out : detail and quality” and in what format. “I hope you took note of what format and the names of those images” Ok after selecting the format you will click ok then one by one it will save all the parts of the image as each one asks you, name it accordingly to the names you saw after line 3). Note is always good not to replace the originals with the replacements until you are certain that you don’t need them any more so in following that rule lets go ahead and in the folder where the original images are make a new folder and name it originals now move all images to that folder. now when you save you can save to the folder that the originals were at. Now when you look in that folder you will see your images that you created and a folder saying originals or what ever you chose to name or folder And your done just upload

ok i know you can back up the whole site, database, aliases and filters but how do you backup just subdomains " files and databases etc " all in one shot

well with speeds like 8/1 any would be good but I would put it to 1Mbps for the reason that if you set it higher you might suffer from connection loss because quick time will be asking for more and your system might not be able to handle that type of traffic. Plus 1 Mbps is good no video on the web will surpass that everybody is stuck on slow mode like me with 384Kbps-1.5Mbps / 128Mbps

ok the above script as been added to my site now just sit back and wait for google to come to the site i have notice it comes about every 3 to 4 days somtimes 5 days

well as for Macs and Windows i have to say win is for me but i have never got my hands on a mac so i guess i cant decide fare i have 3 systems 1 Win XP Home 1 windows 2003 server edtion 1 win98 thinking about getting linix to try out. i think it's free if you get it from the net HEY! now that i mentioed my server does TCH sell IP address i need a Internet ip for it i only use it on my lan with lan IP's
