  1. Lvl2 - use the pin from the wall to open the disk box - then you can get the floppy out...
  2. Hi, It is not the number that defines email as spam - it is the conten, and if people have asked you to send it to them. If these are 300 friends, who have asked you to send them some information - there is no problem. If these are 300 email addresses you have chosen from people you have never met - and intend to send them advertising material, for your new super product, it would be spam.
  3. I use a Toshiba Satellite all the time - I have the 2450 - 2.4GHz P4 (actually a desktop processor rather than a laptop processor). It has all the power I think you probably need, wireless connection, DVD, RW CD etc. 15" LCD which is very clear. I'm pleased with it - and you should be able to pick one up for about $1500 in the US I should think.
  4. Without looking at it in detail, I can't say what the error is - sorry. From what you say, it still sounds to me as if the most likely problem is a problem at the back end with the certificate (that is has probably expired or is not running properly )
  5. Hi Sam, The problem really depends on the site, and the error message you are getting. A security certificate is only valid for a fixed period of time (often 1 year), and it encrypts the data between the server, and the client browser. I would guess that the period of the certificate has come to an end, and the certificate needs to be renewed. If this is one of your sites, you can usually renew it by going back to where you first purchased the certificate. If it is for someone elses site, that you are just visiting, then there is little (as a user) you can do.
  6. It works at both links for me.... Not sure what other folks find.
  7. Hi, The icon works fine for me
  8. Hi, Yes, I still live and work (remotely) from England. I did mange 32 on my second try, but I have never been to some of the middle states, hence can't remember the order there. Not a Geography I learn't at school.
  9. Well I Failed - only managed 20 in the time On the other hand, I'm English, so if anyone complains I'll give them the challenge of placing all the English Counties I might go back and have another go though
  10. Hi Kasey, You will need to change the DNS for the parked domains, so they point to our nameservers (if you have not already done so, then it takes between 24 and 72 hours for the domain names to propagate fully.
  11. Hi Lisa, Congratulations and welcome aboard
  12. Hi Michelle and Sam, Welcome aboard
  13. Hi, I have seen this where the difference is if a user goes to domain.com/protected or www.domain.com/protected. This was due to incorrect commands in the .htaccess file - I would have a look at what they actually are (rather than just doing it from cpanel).
  14. You're welcome
  15. Hi Angela, I can't see your ticket - so I'm not sure where something is going wrong there... were you submiting via the help desk ? Basically you will need to update the nameservers, then the domain name will start to propagate.
  16. HG was talking about the monitoring system that we use, that sends emails, pager messages to the TCH staff when our wervers have a problem. As you can imagine with the number of servers being moved yesterday, that would have created a lot of messages flying round, and largely getting in the way of the work the staff were doing. So no, you haven't missed an anouncement
  17. You're welcome Welcome to the family, as you've already found out - any problems, just ask
  18. It would work fine on our linux boxes
  19. Just having a look at others, http://www.d-mystified.com/index.php?main=software , looks OK, although not one I have used. There are a lot out there, and more than when I started playing with some - maybe it's time I had another play Now where did all those hours in the day go
  20. Hi, Have a look at PHP MySQL Simple Content Management. Not the smallest script in the world, but you don't need to change anything in the bulk of it, and if I understand your requirements correctly, it should do what you want - limit content editing 2 a few people, but enable them to do it online.
  21. Hi PT, It depends if you can use a language like PHP, there is a great script that will allow you to do that. However I note that you are still hosting at Geocities rather than here, so I'm not sure it will work on their servers. When are you coming to join the family here?
  22. Hi, Submit a ticket to the help desk, and we'll sort it out for you.
  23. Hi Steveb, Sorry we missed this post. If your current server is using cpanel, then submit a ticket and we'll try moving the whole site across for you. Otherwise, you can do a backup of the account, and then restore it here. I guess that as we missed this post, you may have already completed the task though - sorry.
  24. Have you tried resetting the password for that user in the database
  25. Welcome to the family Lisa Any questions, just ask. Andy
