Btw, anyone know if the MySQL Servers are down for Server52? I have several scripts that use MySQL, but they all show up as 'Unable to connect to MySQL' Might just be me config'ed them wrong lol, not sure, but a friend is looking at them and saying he sees nothing wrong.

Well, as I understand it, they are virtual nameservers. Reseller account's can, yes. Not sure if Virtual accounts can. Going to submit one now. :S Thanks Robert

Heya, I now have two domains through Godaddy.com, I ordered the 2nd one the other day, and now that it is active I get the parked page, so I reupdated my Nameservers ( ns1 & ns2.tinywizard.net ) which are the ones I had setup in the helpdesk would not work 'Unavailable' or something like that was the errors. So I changed them to ns1 & ns2.totalchoicehosting.com, but now that those where accepted, I am still getting the parked page. The domain I ordered before did not have this problem, could it be something wrong with my Reseller account having my custom nameservers, and me having to use the TCH Nameservers for that domain? I emailed godaddy, but just thought someone who uses them might be able to answer the question before they do. :S Oh, yes btw, I can get to my cpanel via the IP ' http://IP/ ' Isnt there a way to access like my forums and stuff before that domain begins to work on my server via the IP? http://ip/boards did not work.

vfwlkr, If your using a credit card, it should be automated. When you get the statement at the end of the month, do u get a 'Subscription' with TotalChoiceHosting on it anywhere? A Staff member will be along shortly to assist you. It might be a good idea to submit a Helpdesk Ticket so that they can get you taken care of, it would need to be sent to the Sales dept. I would think, and if not they will redirect it to the correct department.

My pleasure Vancouver Lady, I just thought I would mention it, because I fiddled around with that part in the WHM for about a hour, until I decided I was bored, and made a plan with 1 gig of space, and 10 gigs of bandwidth and parked all my domains on that one with just a hitcounter and a link back to my personal site. Just so no misunderstandings glenn, hehe was not putting TCH Down I mean, I love me host But I actually thought when people say "TCH builds their own servers" It means, bill has people who actually build the servers from the floor up hehe. Like a "Bill's Hosting Servers" namebrand or something. My mom said the same thing about some of the cloths I like wearing, and about me wanting to move out of state on my 18th birthday. so now I work one part time job, and one full time job. And end up still having my life wrapped around the computer. LOL But we have a deal, mom and dad are paying for my first year of college, so I want USM, and then I might have to wait for the rest. Major in Emergency Medical. Not sure of a minor yet, maybe computer science?

Hi Vancouver Lady, Welcome to the TCH forums! As has been said, the tutorials that TCH provides are very helpful. I have been on a reseller account since about the second week I came to TCH, I have not had any problems with the WHM, it is mostly simple, you just have to add a package, then add your accounts to the package, it is as simple as that, after a few seconds of messing around inside it you will understand it very easily. And as has alrdy been said, if you have ANY problems, with anything, or just need help or advice, feel free to ask on the forums.

Well, last week I went to Jackson Mississippi, Mobile Alabama, Panama City Beach Florida, Panama City. Then back. around 608 miles in all, and about a 14 hour ride if I remember correctly. Why? Hmm, as you know I am a immature teen lol, doesn't modernbill allow you to like masschange the packages on all servers? I am looking into modernbill so that my clients can get the service automated, and because I only give free packages, I would like a way for them to have to either pay for bandwidth overage, or end up being suspended automaticly, it is a time taking thing to try to keep up with that. Ok, I was going to the reseller page to see how much bandwidth I had on my semi-dedicated server, to tell a friend, is it just me or does that say Semi Dedicated Fully Managed Server, $79.00 a month, which I am currently on, as 95GB of Bandwidth a month? LOL Last time I checked it was like 50 Gigs of bandwidth, wasnt it?

Hehe, Like I said before, I am a big computer geek, well MSN Has a flaw, same as yahoo. It is easy to hack/steal Usernames for them. All you have to do is send in a email to the correct email address, and format it right so that the server thinks ur Yahoo/MSN staff. It then sends you their password. This way might have been fixed, not sure though. I learned that from hmmmm, a friend helping me when I forgot my password to my account and did not remember the answer to my secret question. It worked back then, not sure if it still does.

I too did not understand why some people would charge higher prices, the truth of the matter is, TCH builds their servers, therefore they do not have to pay the large ammount it costs to buy servers from a company. Some places buy Namebrand servers, which are going to cost more, you will understand this if someone has ever asked you 'Why do you want a namebrand shoe, which will be messed up in a week, when you can buy a shoe for half the price, which will last you alot longer.' Some people pay alot more than others simply because they want people to know they have the money, like people who buy houses that could house the entire population of the united states!<( Is an example, not sure if someone actually has that big of a house) Also, some have faster servers than others, where one company might be on a t1 line, some might be on a t3 line. Different people think that different prices are better than others. There are alot of sites out there that offer more than TCH for less of a price, but after you deal with them awhile, you start to notice the little details in the fine print. Like "Unlimited bandwidth" Check out there Terms of service " We reserve the right to charge for any abnormally large usage ammount of our resources, including CPU, Space, BANDWIDTH, and all other resources." or " We do not allow any types of programs, software, hotlinking." What would u ever need unlimited bandwidth for something that does not allow stuff that all websites have? Guess they should have read the fine print huh? Just my 5 cents. -Alan
