  1. Wow, Bruce. Fast reply! Yes, I have tried the uncheck / save / reset of Visual Editor. Did so again just now. There's only one user: me. Yup, I printed out the instructions and followed them step-by-step. There are a lot of posts at Wordpress on this issue, and only a handful of people have been able to solve it. None of their fixes have worked for me, so far. Regards, Sheila
  2. Hi TCH-ers, I've searched frequently at Wordpress itself and on Google, but haven't been able to solve this problem. So I'm turning to the professionals.... When I upgraded to WP 2.1 (and still now with WP 2.2), I was no longer able to see the buttons on the Visual Editor. Here's how it should look.... And here's how it looks now... Some background: I do have "Use the Visual Editor" checked in the Profile I have disabled ALL plug-ins It doesn't matter which theme I try I AM able to see the Rich Text Editor in these same themes in a blog on another host I have re-installed all the TinyMCE files and checked to see that they are all there As I mentioned, I was able to see the Visual Editor before the last 2 WP updates At this point, I'm wondering if it's TCH-related? I'm on server 365. Thanks for your help.... Sheila
  3. Bingo! Thanks, Bruce! You're a prince! Cheers, Sheila
  4. Hi TCH, Quick history: * I am using Windows Live Writer to publish to my blog (and I've used it successfully on other blogs -- hosted on other webhosts -- for several months) * Yesterday I was able to make my initial post without problems * Made some changes after that to the sidebar. This morning I'm getting the error message.... I added the changes mentioned earlier in this thread to my .htaccess file. Now I'm getting: I AM able to make changes to the blog from within Wordpress itself. I'm not sure if I added the code correctly. Here's what my edited .htaccess looks like... Any suggestions, guys? Thanks, Sheila
  5. Hi Weezy, I don't design at all ... I use templates! And now we're starting to use "virtual staff" hired through elance and scriptlance. We will also be bringing on some local people soon for research and tech support. Our websites are a mix of affiliate sites, and simple sales pages for eBooks I've written. Last year, my husband, Bob, built his first website and now he's doing fabulously well. So we talk shop from morning til night. I've actually been online since the very first BBS (Bulletin Board) systems back in the late 70s. I LOVE this business ... and all the great people you meet. Cheers, Vancouver Lady
  6. Aaaaaah! That was SO easy! Thank you, Bruce, Venusian, Alan and Weezy! It was the guidance to first "create a package" that turned on the light for me. I signed up last night and -- following a good suggestion on another posting -- made a small change in my home page before uploading to TCH. That showed me this morning that propagation had already begun. So I'm guessing now that I will never see in the Account List at WMH the original website I transfered here, correct? Just the accounts I create from now on. Cheers, Sheila (born in Calgary, Weezy)
  7. Hello TCH Folks, You seem like a friendly bunch! We have about 10 active sites at the moment and expect to double or triple that by year end. So it seems to me to be time to move from shared hosting to a reseller package. I'm completely comfortable setting up a single domain at a new host, but am wondering how much new there will be to learn, with WMH. I CAN do that kind of thing ... but I no longer WANT to. Also, I'm assuming that to figure out which plan I might want, I would go to the Cpanels of each domain at my existing hosts and add up bandwidth. True? Anything else? TIA for you help.
