  1. Thanks for that! (I still don't know the answer to your question though about if it is installed. I'll follow up on that tonight, ok? Sorry for the delay.) Lianna
  2. Two things to check. First, you mention that your smiles should be in: But mine are in: where 'forum' is the name of my forum directory. Also note the name difference (smilies vs. smiles) Once you've identified the path to the smiles, take note of it and enter the path in your board's administration panel under General Admin > Configuration. The path that you enter should be relative to the board directory. For example mine says: Lianna
  3. First, seancb, do you have a link that you could share with us about this scam? Second, darkwoof, yes, the cPanel does NOT like it when the folder already exists and you try to create the subdomain. However, you can set redirection up for the subdomains in question and point them to the correct folder and index file. The redirection path should be complete with file name, such as http://****/board/index.htm. Third, notice my wit in doing all these questions in reverse order , I have no answer for the shtml custom error pages as yet. I will be looking into this tonight, ok? Lianna

  5. I think I may have the answer here (under my nose the whole time...) From the email that I received notifying me that a post had been made to a topic that I was subscribed to: See that last paragraph? *per board visit* Lianna
  6. I was logged out when you posted pphoa and I did again receive an email notification that you'd posted. So, I have to believe that IB still sees you as logged in if you only close the browser window and not log out. Hmm. So .... lets look around a little more shall we? Lianna
  7. Ok, I did not receive an email that time. Lianna
  8. Ok, I got the email. Now let's try with me just closing the browser window and not *officially* logging out. Can you post here again? Thanks. Lianna
  9. Ok, somebody post something here on this topic for me please? I'm subscribed to the thread and I'm logging out right..... L
  10. Hmm. Are you logging out of the forum before you close your browser window? I'm going to go test this, but I'm thinking that Invision still thinks that you are logged in until idle for a period of time. Just closing your browser window may not be logging you out right away, if at all. Let me test it. Lianna
  11. Hey Beth, Try KW's response on this thread. I think it's the same as what you're asking for. Lianna
  12. Welcome Home! Lianna
  13. I didn't forget, I was just taken away from writing the steps for a more pressing matter. You asked for it: Here goes: (somebody test it and doublecheck me, k?) 1. Go to ******/webmail and click the link for "Click for Secure Site" 2. Accept the security alert window by clicking Yes. 3. Enter your login info 4. Highlight the address in your browser's address bar and copy it (CTRL-C). 5. Access your cPanel 6. Click Manage Subdomains 7. Create a subdomain like securemail and click Add 8. Click Go back, to get back to the Manage Subdomains screen 9. Click Setup Redirection for that subdomain 10. Click in the text box, highlight the existing http:// and delete it. 11. While still in that text box, CTRL-V to paste the address copied earlier. 12. Click Save. 13. Log out of cPanel and test http://securemail.****** to make sure that you access the secure mail login. 14. Update: Alan and HeadGuru got the MT thing all straightened out and Gnome-girl site is online. The MT issue was caused by file permissions not having carried over properly during the transfer from the old host. First we thought it was a perl version conflict, but with the setting of the permissions, all's well. Lianna
  15. UPDATE (for everyone else following this thread): If your old host used cPanel and you simply ftp all of the site files to us, then the account files for mail aliases, etc will likely be overwritten with your old files. This can/will cause problems in more areas than just email, but this thread indicates some of the symptoms. Resolution: if your old host uses cpanel, please contact us and ask that we transfer your site account for you! It will take only a few minutes to do, relieve you of any hassles and keep your site in tact, just the way you left it on the old host! In other words, we can make it very easy for you. Per gnome-girl's situation, we are following up to see if we can get her old site simply transferred over. The old host account may no longer be available to us, but we are checking into it. Lianna
  16. Gnome-girl, I just PM'd you about this. We think we know what happened here and also how to fix it....and make MT work in the process. Please contact me asap. Thanks. Lianna
  17. Typically, those themes come with a Readme file explaining how to install it. Fairly straight forward normally: FTP the Theme folder into public_html/yourforumdirectory/templates Access your bb admin panel and change the them to the new one. If you can provide us with the details of the theme you're trying to use we can give you more precise directions. Lianna
  18. HA! Man, I knew somebody was gonna bust me on that! Coming up, asap this morning. (sorry for the delay) Lianna
  19. Ok, gnome-girl and I have a work-around in place. I am going to follow up with this in the morning. I don't think that the work around should have been necessary and will see if there is a root cause to the problem. Will followup here tomorrow. PS: Rayners, can you help her out with MT? Definitely not my area! Thanks. Lianna
  20. Thanks, Chuck!
  21. Ok, I think I understand. Please use the DNS servers that were sent to you in your welcome email. Any of our servers that were setup with the NS of *****host.com or ***** are still using those same name servers. We implemented the totalchoicehosting.com name servers to any that went online after the name change, but left the prior ones set as they were. Lianna
  22. Ok, back to work! Play time's over.
  23. *YAY* You're welcome. Lianna

Well, I'll be darned. I thought I had seen where that could be done, but it eludes me now. (I may well have been looking at another application and getting the two confused.) Sorry. Lianna
  25. *YAY* We Rock! (...and it's really nice to hear sometimes!)
