New error is: SSL negotiation failed: Certificate error: Cert chain not trusted. Try adding this cert to your cert database for SSL to succeed Certificate bad: Destination Host name does not match host name in certificate. Thx

OK that helps clarify why earthlink worked & you didn't. I found that to set the port with Eudora, you have to set the ini file alternate port, but when I do I get a different error.

I had a chat with earthlink. They say its you & that they don't block 25. As a test I configured for my earthlink email and I could read & send email. But still can't send through racewax.com HELP!

Earthlink... Where in the world do you set that? I looked in options and properties, did I miss something? Thanks!!

I use Eudora at home on my desktop through a DSL connection. I installed Eudora for a trip on my laptop and set up the properties the same as the setup on the desktop. I could check mail (and receive them) but not send (through a modem connection). I never solved the problem & assumed that I just messed something up. I am now on another trip with a different laptop and the same thing happened. I can receive but not send. Where do I look for the source? I am trying to connect to racewax.com. Thanks, M
