Bingo, Tracy! Nice post.

PM me with the specifics (the name the billing is being done in-first and last, the payment processor-company). I'll look it up for you.

Sure, I'll check it first thing in the morning.

Manu, Sorry I just re-read my post and see where it could be misinterpretted... You need to submit a help desk ticket HERE, at TCH, requesting the assignment of two IP addresses for use as private name servers for your reseller account. And THEN you go to Network Solutions and set up your name servers using those two IP's given to you from here.

teeheee...cute! (Nope I'm not offended. )

Bob, I completely see your point, but that's where we start getting into work ethic philosophies, which might start a riot. I am a strong believer in proactivity. If my car is my responsibility, then I although I did not build it, I still take steps to determine if I am safe prior to driving anywhere. That doesn't always just mean reading the manual either. It means, being observant, inquisitive and out-of-the-box sometimes. My two cents.

Although she quoted ME, I think she was talking to her HUSBAND.

Hey and welcome to the family, airjunkie2000!

AH! See, that bit of info wasn't given before. From cPanel, click on Manage MySQL Then under Access Hosts, ADD a new with only a * entered. Then from your remote application, enter host name of the IP address of your site. If you can post more detail here about what application you are using locally to access your remote MySQL db, then maybe someone can get the very specific steps.

Yup, I'm paid, too. Love the plugins! POP mail notifications, weather, task list, url grabber.

There is a patch available on the Cerulean Studios website that was specifically created for the Yahoo! issue.

Moving topic to Pre-sales Questions

No, Thomas, the other emails would get to him PRIOR to the account creation...once the account is created, the email would be directed to the new account, thus the loss of only the last one.

I third or fourth the notion of PDABruce getting bumped to Mod. He's shown us a tremendous contribution to the family. Bonnie, honey, I feel for ya, but maybe it's time to call that contractor and get the GARAGE converted into a office for him!

No different than internal auditing controls for accounting, internal security assessments for MIS are a necessary part of running a world-class business. Here's the trick, the results of such an 'audit' should be used for *improving the business* rather than *building ammunition* against those responsible for the system. Boojum, not ALL companies view these audits, for lack of a better word, as firing mechanisms or excuses. As a matter of fact, every company that I've worked with has met suggestions with open arms and asked for details on how to implement controls. Not saying it doesn't happen, but less than you'd think I bet. I'd be interested to hear Thump's experiences with that too.

But seems the lower the number of server you're on, the longer you've been with TCH.... hmmmmm.... Server 4 is where I started. Rocked then and still rocks today.
-
We'll certainly take the suggestion into consideration. There have been a ton of questions posted here that would fall into that category.

Yes, submit a help desk ticket to request a resend of the email with account info. SIDENOTE: If during signup for hosting, you enter an email address that is directly associated with the domain that you've chosen to host with us, you will probably not get the email!!!! Example and explanation: Say I buy a package at TCH for randomsitename.com and I list my email during purchase as me@randomsitename.com. Because randomsitename.com will have an account created on the server here before the email is sent, the email will be sent to your account HERE. The problem with this is, without that email, you don't know how to access your account HERE, so you can't get the info to access your account HERE.........circular reference! (mr0w1: not saying this is what happened to your email, but this is the most common issue with new account setups that don't get the email.)

Welcome home, Nancy!

Yeppers! That's what I was looking for!

Yup. Now this topic has a dot in it for me, and it did not before I posted above.
-
I might be wrong, but it seems the ones with dots are the topics to which I've replied. So, the ones that YOU see with dots, would be the topics to which YOU have started or replied.
