I purchased my domain names from GoDaddy and I didn't transfer them to TCH when I signed up. All I did was log into my GoDaddy account and change the name servers to NS1.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM and NS2.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM. When you register with TCH they give you an IP address, they need to know the domain name you are using to update the two domain servers to resolve the domain name to the IP number given to you when you signed up. This is how the shared hosting works. Someone else would have to tell you what was involved with a reseller account.

Most search engines use spiders to crawl your site, so submitting the index page is all that is necessary for the most part. The spider will come along and follow the links from your index page. Optimizing your content on each page will help your site's listing in the search engines.

Where was the domain purchased? You need to update your DNS servers to point to where ever the domain is hosted. If TCH is where it's registered they can do it for you. If you registered with GoDaddy or some other registrar you will have to go there and update it yourself. Moving to more appropriate forum.

Yes, you can create a folder in your public_html folder and set the permissions to 700. Then create an ftp account and set it to log into that folder only. I was going to suggest creating the folder in your root folder except that only your cpanel login/password would be able to access it.

My XP system has never crashed. Can't say that for my Win98 machine though.

Yep, I had that problem once with our company site. I created a folder for navigation images and called the folder "banner" which caused numerous problems. Most firewall software will block anything with "banner" in the name and/or path.

Jim is correct "www" is a symbolic link but you should use "public_html" for uploading.

One thing to point out. You say you have three web sites. Is that three domain names pointing to three different web sites? If so you would need additional accounts for the other two or you will need a reseller account that will allow you to have more than one domain hosted. Just wanted to make sure it was clear.
