I have a business site and we check email every 10-15 minutes. There's not really a reason to check it more often. We do most of our business using email. It has never been a problem. It's not like we are following the stock market.

I have investigated and it was deleted accidentally. Once deleted it cannot be retrieved.

Don't know the answer to #2. But to answer your question in #1, please open a help desk ticket. The staff does not monitor the forums 24/7 and the mods do not have access to the servers or your account info so would be unable to help.

David is correct. Unless the script is outputting info when it's successful you should not receive an email. I set a cron job for a backup using a script I did not write and was surprised when I started getting emails from the cron job when in fact it had completed. It was sending a success email as well as a fail email. I modified the script to only send email when it failed.

If it dials directly to a server then it will not work. The FTP must be routed through a connection from an internet provider.

Instead of trying to pass a login and password through the script may I offer a suggestion. Create a folder at the same level as your public_html folder. Then chmod the permissions to 770. Now put your script into that folder and change the location of the script in the cron job. If you put the script into a folder at the same level as your public_html folder it will be pretty secure. Just be sure that your paths are set correctly in your script to get it to perform it's task.

You can open a ticket with the Help Site and see if they can possibly restore your site from a backup. Don't know how old the backup may be but that is your best shot.

I don't use webmail as a rule so I can't say that I have ever seen that. Instead of going to www.domain.com/webmail try going to domain.com/sqmail and see if the errors persist.

There are trial versions for almost all the FTP clients out there. I personally use CuteFTP. You could also try WS_FTP which I believe is still free.

Hi Soran, have you tried any other FTP clients? Have you made sure that Passive mode is enabled? If both of those are true I would suggest opening a Help Desk ticket and have one of the techs look into it.

Being that Micro$oft was the one that started using silly favicon thing this was how they told people to create it eons ago. But I too do as you do David using IrfanView and doing a Save As. I was just trying to keep it simple.

Currently cPanel in in development for Windows. So there are no Windows servers using it to my knowledge.
