Sorry nobody has responded yet but it sounds like your invision board is blocking that site. I'd check for a banned IP address in you admin panel.

That's pretty much it but you could also right-click on the file and select Open With and configure the .lnk files to open with your web broswer.

.x Directory And Cgi.a.php Files
TCH-Bruce replied to amansker's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Please open a ticket with the help desk and have them take a look. Thanks -
The first line is the correct way to include the path to perl in your scripts. #!/usr/bin/perl The #! is called a shebang. This line instructs the operating system the Perl script is being ran in where the executable for Perl and all of its associated files are located. This line is commonly only required in Linux and UNIX variants, users running Perl in Microsoft Windows do not need this line.

I understand your frustration. The only downside to your idea is they have to give out the password to have people access it. So if you have to contact the people with the password why not just give them the email address and thus not have to put it on the site at all. Never mind I just re-read what you wrote about making the password a jpg image. So no I don't see a downside except for the extra step people have to make to send an email.

If you explained the downside and he still insists he wants it why not just do it? What does he think of your new idea? Encode it or come up with a javascript solution. Of course lots of folks have disabled javascript too.

Welcome to the forums Casper. As far as I know you can't. Pesonally I don't use page hit counters. They are irrelevant since you have access to the actual page hits through AwStats. If the size is a problem you could look at hotscripts.com for an alternative script to use.

Storage Backup - What Is The Best Way?
TCH-Bruce replied to queenpictoria's topic in Hardware Corner
According to the latest reports on DVD/CD media they are recommending that people use external hard drives to backup. Of course I still use DVDs to back up my systems. Found a free backup program called WinBackup 1.86 which works really well. -
And if you cannot use port 25 or 26 set your outgoing server to your ISP's server as Thomas pointed out above and use your ISP email/password combination to send email. I do this all the time with my SBC DSL account and have no problems.

Is your file name all lower case?

Thanks for the heads up Curtis

The problem with insecure scripts is they can be used by spammers to send their own messages. If that happens on your account it WILL be suspended. So Rob's suggestion of finding a secure script to use is of paramount importantance.

Dropping A Mysql Database - Can't Find It In Phpmyadmin
TCH-Bruce replied to beerman's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Please open a ticket with the help desk. The mods don't have access to the servers or your account. Thanks. -
If you are no longer using FrontPage uninstall the extensions in your cPanel. If Expression Engine created entries in the .htaccess file they will be lost so back it up first (or rename it). Then just removing the index.htm or index.html file will do it for you. If you are still using FrontPage then the DirectoryIndex should do it for you.
