I don't know if these instructions will help you or not. Did you get the correct version of the converter for the phpBB forum you are trying to convert?

Do you have any mods installed on your phpBB that you are trying to convert? Have you tried the SMF forums for help?

In cPanel select MySQL Databases. Your databases will display. At the bottom of the list of databases there is an add user function set of boxes. Select the user to add in the left box (SMF user) and the database in the right box (phpBB DB) and click the Add User button.

Add the SMF user to the phpBB database. That should help.

There should also be a config file for the SMF forum you created. The user/password will be available in that.

You should be able to find the user/password for your database in the config file for phpBB. The DB password is usually different than the one you set for the admin user.

No problem, that's usually the way it's done.

Are you purchasing a new hosting account or are you parking this domain on top of an existing domain? If you are purchasing a new hosting account depending on what server it is created on will determine what the name servers will be. If you are parking the domain then it would use the same name servers as your current account.

You can purchase the hosting at anytime. The welcome email will give you an IP address so you can access the account space and start configuring it. Also, how can the domain name propagate without nameserver entries to show where it's supposed to be hosted?

Welcome to the forums Jeremy Sorry, I have not used any of those tools but hang tight and maybe one of our members that has will lend some advice. As for how much space do you need don't worry about it. You can upgrade your plan at anytime by opening a ticket with the help desk. So you can start small and upgrade as needed.

The login box you are seeing is not for cPanel but to log into the webmail interface. If you enter your cPanel credentials it's the same as selecting webmail from within cPanel. If you enter a valid email address and password it logs you into the webmail interface. If you wish to use Squirrel Mail you can access it directly with http://you-TCH-domain/sqmail

Give a check at Hotscripts.com I doubt you will find one exactly to suit your needs but you should be able to coble a couple together to get what you want. There is a program called PHP Form Wizard that may do what you want but it is not free.

Without giving them access to your 'public_html' folder you cannot do what you desire. You will have to set up two ftp accounts. One to access the folder in 'cgi-bin' and another to access the 'mt-static' folder.

Jim, I've never installed 4Images but others have. I have installed Gallery2 a couple of times and those installs went rather smooth. As for Fantastico installing scripts as others have said the installers are tested by the people at Fantastico but they cannot test in every environment possible so sure there may be issues with some of the scripts. I personally do not use the installers provided by Fantastico and install the scripts manually. Yes, they may difficult at first but once you learn to do one manually you should be able to install almost any script without issues.

Welcome to the forums Matt The stats program uses a lot of resources on a server so sometimes it gets turned off if loads are high but usually it gets turned back on. Sometimes it gets missed. Please open a ticket with the help desk to have them restart the service. The logs will still be written to when the stats program is not running so you will not lose any information. When the logs are processed all your data will be updated.
