  4. Glad to know you are happy, Marge. Thank you for the kind words.
  5. Yes, I know. Good thing I added another blog to update. Yay me! Now updating 8 blogs every release. Still only took me 20 minutes. WordPress updates have to be the easiest updates to install.
  6. tilt
  7. fries (can't have one without the other)
  8. In the drop down that's labeled "Look in", what are your choices? You are getting an error because it's looking for a folder on your computer with the URL you are entering. There should be be other options like the Web or Online or something in that drop down.
  9. If you can determine the IP addresses for those domains you can use the IP deny manager in cPanel and block them from coming to your site. Don't know if you can block outgoing. But if they can't get there to sign up they wouldn't be getting an email.
  10. Thanks Thomas
  11. I've seen them in my logs before. I never really paid much attention to them.
  12. Welcome to the forums Scorpius Sorry I don't have an answer for you as I have never head of anyone creating a large gif file and attempted to stream it. As for true streaming you cannot do that on a shared server. You can serve your files with normal http:// or img tags.
  13. Well now, if you are going allow people to upload content to your web space it is your responsibility to be be sure that it is safe content they are uploading. You can limit the types of files to be uploaded with the upload script (I would not recommend putting one up that does not check for at least file extensions and limit it to only image extension types). But even images can contain virus but the file would have to be opened for it to become apparent.
  14. Over the holidays?!!! Thanks Thomas
  15. Glad you sorted it out.
  16. Welcome to the forums AJ69 I\'ve seen sites that do that.
  17. I'm sure you can find/do something with PHP without learning Java.
  18. Welcome to the forums Susie You will need some sort of member upload script that would allow the uploading of photos for members only. A good place to check for scripts is hotscripts.com Not sure what search criteria I would use for something like that though.
  19. Open a ticket with the help desk and ask them to take a look. Never hurts.
  20. It is very possible that you have run out of web space in your account when trying to zip it up. Not knowing how much space your site is taking up and how much you have left it would be hard to answer that.
  21. I'm sorry but Microsoft doesn't even support FrontPage any longer. They have something that replaced it. Only thing I know to tell you to do is to get an FTP client and download your website to your computer. You should then be able to open it with FrontPage. Make your changes and publish using FTP instead of using the FrontPage extensions.
  22. Why not zip the contents and ftp a single file? Or if you have access to ncftpput you can use the -R recursive command. See instructions
  23. And I would recommend a video card with as much memory on-board as you can afford.
  24. PHP questions generally go in Scripting Talk forum. But if it's web page layout then here is fine.
