  1. Ok Matt, time to write a coppermine tutorial while its fresh One thing I do when installing something like this is to write the steps down in a notebook, with all the settings and user/passwords. Then when you install another script, this will help with the settings and paths.
  2. Just to double check the settings: the user name for the cpanel default email if you use it is just the cpanel name and for all others it is user@domain
  3. It looks like you did not create and add a user to the database in phpMySql see in your guestbook how there is a user listed for it. Just create the user and then add it to the coppermine database.

Try installing the advanced guestbook for your self from cpanel be sure to follow the link when it is installed to change the admin name and password (default name and password is displayed for you) You will find it easy to use and in tthe admin page you can make some changes to the colors.
  17. Welcome to the Family genesis and your new home! Not sure I understand your question. in cpanel there is a link MySQL Databases And inside there, at the bottom you will see phpMyAdmin You can use phpMyAdmin to administrate your MySQL databases in a web based environment. Is this what you need? If not please let us know. We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help
  18. In cpanel look for IP Deny Manager This feature will allow you to block a range of IP addresses to prevent them from accessing your site. You can also enter a fully qualified domain name, and the IP Deny Manager will attempt to resolve it to an IP address for you.

  23. Hmmm, I am starting to worry, more and more people here are talking to themselfs Seriously, it sometimes helps to layout a problem for others to see and then you can also see it with fresh eyes. Are the variables you picked, being also used in your CMS somewhere?
  24. You may want to look at the text editor from www.notetab.com it can have many files open at once and have a favorites list like a browser.
  25. When you turn hotlink on, I would keep a copy of the authorized sites in a text file. Sometimes I have to turn off hotlink, maybe something else I added corrupts the part of .htaccess that contains the list of sites, and it stops the images from showing even for authorized sites. So I turn it off, then later when I turn it back on, some of the sites are missing, so I keep a back up list in a text file.
