Glad it is working. Good luck with pmachine.
-
First, and I am sure you did this but, be sure that you use cpanelname_user and cpanelname_databasename If you look at MySql there sample connection strings to show what to use. I wonder if pmachine needs to create the database, try removing it in MySql and reinstall pmachine? just a thought.

Yes, the domain name may take 72 hours to propagate and e-mail may lag a little more if you are changing DNS like you would if you changed hosts.
-
Also if you are using the default cpanel name for e-mail do not use the @yoursite as the user name.
-
I think you will be fine but please send a ticket into the help desk if you want to be sure.

If you are using NS1.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM NS2.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM as your Domain servers you do not have to do anything. You should be able to check by logging into the admin area where you registered your domain or by checking www.whois.sc/yourdomain
-
Mike if you are pointing your nameservers to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com you will not have to do anything. You should be able to check by logging into the admin area where you registered your domain or by checking www.whois.sc/yourdomain edit I just saw your whois Domain servers in listed order: NS1.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM NS2.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM you are ok.

I have not tried DaDaMail But there must be others that have. Lets hope they can answer.

Some visitors will have their browser set to reload your page and files each time they visit the page. Others like myself will have their browser set to reload the page or files the next time I open my browser . And a few may leave their browsers set to use their cache for a longer period, but there is no telling how many days they will use the cache before it is purged. So we all need to keep an eye on our bandwidth.

Yes it can take up to 72 hours for all the ISP nameservers to update and sometimes there will be a flip flop to the old host and e-mail can lag a little longer So while you wait, pop over to the introductions forum and say hello to your family and get your officail warm welcome

Can you give examples or a url so we can see what is not working. For those new to sub domains, They are created in cpanel which in turn creates a folder by the same name as your subdomain, and cpanel creates a link like a shortcut known as a subdomain. The files are stored in the folder domain.ext/sub but you can use the url of sub.domain.ext as you navagate through the pages you should see sub.domain.ext/page1 sub.domain.ext/page2 sub.domain.ext/page3 unless you use frames and use a target of _self to link to the pages.

Thomas I think you can go into Mysql and just create a new user and password and add to the guestbook database. I think I just used the same user and then a new password.
-
Welcome to the Family Del_Thacker and your new home! To install the advanced guestbook goto your cpanel (see link in your welcome e-mail) look in cgi scripts and click on the link for advanced guest book follow the prompts for a folder name like guestbook or what ever you want for a folder name the database will be created for you and a user will be added. follow the link to the admin panel and change the default user and password the default user/password is listed by the link to the admin panel. And thats it. You can change the colors and a few other things in the admin area. We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help
-
Yep, I just used the php mail option and it seems to work fine.
-
Have you tried to unprotect it in cpanel the protect it again and add the new password
-
Well I am glad its working now. Next time you may want to open a help ticket.
-

-
After you went to cpanel > Password protect directories > select folder, click on the tick box next to the lock icon. add a user and a password did you exit the browser and restart the browser to clear the cache. If so what do you see when you try to visit the folder?

/usr/local/bin/ is the path to all Image::Magick files.
-
One more thing, what ftp program? have you tried another?
-
Sadie, I suggest you contact your host, and explain your problem. It also might be your ISP has an upload limit? or time out? Wish I could help more, if you were hosted here with us, we could take a look at your account to be sure all is ok. Good luck to you.
