Right, I'm trying the java... Any ideas?

I saw the link for the chat stuff in cpanel... It says that this address would work: http://dmbforums.com/cgi-sys/mchat.cgi?channel=dmbforums.com but I am being told by members that it does not. Is there something I need to set up in order to access this feature?

It won't log into the incoming mail server. Would that be the case if my DNS hasn't propagated yet?

It's working through webmail, but I can't seem to get outlook set up correctly. My domain is dmbforums.com, so I believe the incoming and outgoing should be mail.dmbforums.com, correct? Then my username would be skyline@dmbforums.com. I know that smtp requires authentification, which I thought I selected, but maybe I'm missing something. Any help would be appreciated

Hey folks. I changed the nameservers for my site tonight. I did so about 45 minutes ago, but when I type the url in, it goes to the old site. I know it takes 24-72 hours to propagate, but should it still be going to the old host even AFTER I've changed the nameservers?

Thanks for al your help, folks. The transfer went relatively smoothly (I had to break up the database into quite a few files, because it kept timing out in phpMyAdmin). It's all up and running, and I just officially changed the nameservers. Now, the waiting begins

Ok, folks. I'm feeling better about this. Looking back at Rob's post... When I sign up here and get my space, I could go ahead and get my site up and running here before I ever switch name servers for my registered domain name? Would I have some other name to view my site on? As you may have noticed, I'm very experienced with Invision, but equally inexperienced with web hosting. It definitely looks as if we'll be choosing you folks for our new host. I just want to be sure I'm clear on things before I take the plunge. Thanks

I don't believe they have cpanel, but i'll look into it. Basically, though, all I would need to do is upload all of my files to my space here once I got it, and then restore the databse through phpmyadmin, correct? I just wanted to be sure there wouldn't be any hiccups along the way. The last time we did this it turned into a big mess, and we ended up restarting our forums
