You will find it easier to modify the files with an ftp program You can try out CoreFTP for free at coreftp.com here is a thread with a screen shot showing how to set up CoreFTP Lite using you cpanel user name and password. this will give you two windows, the left one showing your computer and the right one showing your web space. Navigate to the folder on your web space where the logo is. On the left window navigate to the logo you created and named logo.jpg click on your logo and right click and select upload It will replace the default logo.jpg. For the other files you can find where they are on your web space forum and drag them to the left window to put them on your computer where you can modify them and then put the modified version back. You may find this easier than trying to change them in the forums edit screens. however if you want to use the forum edit screens, find the file you want to edit on your forum and right click it to change the properties to 777 so you can edit it in the forums edit screen. be sure to change the properties back after. As to file manager, it is part of your cpanel and will launch a file manager showing your web space. It will start above your public_html folder where you put your files you need to click on the folder icon in front of the public_html name to go inside, do the same to go into your forum folders and when you find a file that you want to change the permissions so you can write to it from the forums edit screens, click on the file name, and on the right you will see options including change permissions. But I strongly recommend you try the ftp program as it is easier and more reliable. I re wrote the first part of the thread on changing your logo, hopefully it is more understandable now. if you have more questions, please ask, our family love to help

You may want to take a look at dada mail, web-based e-mail list management system http://mojo.skazat.com/ You can set a list to batch mode of 10 per minute and you will have no problems.

After she gets her hosting account you can open a help desk ticket to ask the techs to move it from your account to hers. It will move everything including e-mail The techs will need your account info and her new account info. if you like you can open a ticket now to find the best way to start. -
Patami, the moderators here do not have access to the servers please open a help desk ticket.

A link to celerondude upload script (under php) was posted here not long ago. I just downloaded it and set up a folder for photos, chmod to 777 installed the script, chomd the files in the instruction.txt logged and modified the setting to point to the folder and added a user and it works very well you can set the file type. You may want to study this to see how its done.

There is something not right in your path http://madmblues.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/fuwinter.jpg find where the public_html is being adde to the path. it should be http://madmblues.com/blog/wp-content/fuwinter.jpg

I tried 666, 766 and 776 and I received errors with 777 it works. Keeping that in mind this script does not check to what type of files are uploaded. Someone could upload a script and run it. if you want security hotscripts will have file uploader that will check the file type.

No, it needs to be 777

The folder needs to be 777 Thanks for the update, its alway nice to get a script working good job Thumbs Up

Hi Bryan, this is a very old thread. Check the updated AUP AUP I think what you want is ok.
-
Glad you have it working I went to form.html and sent you a message looks good. You can ignore my PM to you.
-
First in the file test.html remove the line <input type="hidden" name="your_email_address" value="you@******"> do not add your address to the form be sure you uploaded dodsmail.php with the second line edited to your adddress and removed the two # in front of it. The file dosmail.php is not in the same place as the test.html file so the form wil not work. once you edit dosmail.php and upload it goto test.html and fill out the form and it should work.
-
In Dodosmail.php just edit the second line to use your address removing the ## before it. ##$your_email_address="you@******"; upload the dodosmail.php and the test.html which is a form and goto the test.html on your site and try it it should work. Then just modify the test.html to your needs. Or you can copy test.html and insert it into one of your pages for your contact page.

Glad to hear it. On our help site under freebies, there is a link to a password keeper called anypassword that stores data in an encrypted file you might find useful.
