It is that time again for Server Kernel upgrades. I am going to start the process of upgrading all the servers in the TCH NOC. I am starting this process now and will post updates. Downtime should be very minimal, as if all goes well its just a reboot. Bill

As some of you know, my schedule can get a little crazy. 10am meeting with Attorney, 11am meeting with Accountant, bank meeting at 1pm, lunch with vendor at 2pm. Sometimes, life is crazy. I have had enough, so I set out to hire a Administrative Assistant. After looking thru resumes and listening to applicants jabber jaw about this or that, I have settled on a new hire. I was just concerned that you are required to have an digsby account. There is a thread about this on their forums.

I think i know his problem. Say you have 500 folders on your hard drive. Your camera takes a photo called DMC001.jpg You place that photo in the /tuesday folder. The following week you take a photo and you camera names it DMC001.jpg and you place that folder in the /wednesday folder. Now you have two files with the same name located on the same hard drive but in different folders, hence his problem. When you search for *.jpg you will have a list of multiple files including duplicate file names. Now when you ctrl-a that list and attempt to copy it to another drive you are present with an generic windows error because it can not deal with the dup file names. I would also like to solve this issue, however I have never really taken the time to look into it. bill

Here is my rant. What pisses me off is the blantant misuse of any software license. I was standing in line today at Micro Center purchasing a copy of MS Server 2003 SBV for a client. The guy in front of me asked the cashier if he could install the software he was buying on multiple computers. The cashier told him of course he could and that it was so easy to get around the licensing agreements. She went on to tell him how to get around the Windows XP activation. Everyone Lies and steals software. I guess this is a fact of life eh?

People make me laugh. We have a former staff member (A 1099 based contractor) that was let go due to performance reasons. I made a corporate choice not to pay this contractors last invoice due to the fact that he attempted to cheat me by billing me for hours he clocked in but actually did not do squat during. Anyways, this person is now contacting everyone in this thread and telling them what a bad person I am and how bad TCH is. I got a phone call from someone in this thread about the Private Message he was sent from the former vendor. If this former vendor has contacted you via PM please let me know. Whilst I can not really take any action against this person, I would like to offer my deepest apologies to any one contacted by this crazed former vendor.
