This issue would only effect clients that have registered domains thru us. It does not effect web hosting accounts in any manner at all. I promise.

Here is the official latest news. We will get thru this, and once we do we will be offering a coupon code to any client effected by this mess. Dear TotalChoice Domain Clients, Like many of you, I awoke to a strange email from a 3rd party that appeared to be a phishing email from another domain registration company. This email appeared to be targeted at all of our domain registration clients. If you did not receive this email you may disregard this communication. As you may be aware, there are only a few domain registrars that actually handle the registration and renewal of domain names. TotalChoice has contracted with one of the largest registrars to handle our domain business for the past ten years. It appears that this company failed to renew our contract and that resulted in our domain portfolio being placed into a temporary hold status. The email that was sent out was a very large mistake and should have never been sent to our clients. We have contacted the registrar and our domain portfolio is secure and they are in the process of unlocking it and all will be back to normal very shortly. They are informing us that this should take no longer than 24 hours. Please refrain from logging into the links provided to you in the email that was sent out to you and our regular domain page will be active again in the next 24 hours. This issue does not effect your web hosting accounts and only is directed at domain registration clients. I am very sorry for this issue and the stress it may have caused to our domain clients. Yours in Hosting! Bill Kish

Yours in Hosting! Bill Kish Hello TCH Family, It appears that some our domain clients have been receiving emails from another register of domains in an attempt to steal away our client base. Please be advised that TotalChoice Hosting has been in the hosting and domain business for over 10 years and we have no plans of going anywhere. TotalChoice owns and operates all its own hardware and is a cash based company with zero debt. We ask that all our domain clients please refrain from clicking on the links in the phishing emails. We are working to determine where and how these emails are being sent out. Once we determine the cause and have corrected this issue we will again reach out to you and give you a status update. Thank you for being such a valued client of TCH. Thank you again for your business and for the trust you place in us!

Hello, Oh this great tangled web thingy. Here is my take on this. Since their host is USA based, UK laws would not apply to the USA based host. Most hosts will not simply take down a site based on the information you have provided in your posting here. Since your complaint does not relate to Copyright or Trademark related issues, the DMCA law of the USA would not apply. Therefore you would need to proceed against this other person in Civil Court. I am not sure how the courts work in the UK, however here in the states you would need to obtain a court order to effect a take down. Civil orders are given when you prove to the court that you have been defamed or you present a valid libelous case against the other party. I am afraid to say that even if you presented this complaint to our abuse department here at TotalChoice we would have taken the same approach as this other host did. I would take them to court and make them pay the price for their actions. Good luck.

Network Maintenance - Aug. 28Th
Head Guru replied to TCH-Eric's topic in TCH Data Centers Network Announcements
We are about to start the maintenance window. The servers should be coming off line right at 1159pm for a switch replacement. We have the new switch configured and ready to go, so it is just a matter of unplugging network drops to the switch. If all goes right, we should not be down to long at all. I will update this as we move along. Go TCH! -
I would for sure go with a larger volume fan. We build a lot of servers here ae Data Center and one thing I can tell you the more cooling power you can throw at the processor the better! Go large or go home Mike! Just my two cents....

Hello TCH Family, We are experiencing intermittent network stability issues. Our networking team is assessing the issue and we are working on a resolution. Will post more updates when we know more. Thank you for your understanding.

If you do not have Office 2010 Installed, you would need a compatible viewer to view .docx files. My friend uses this one and is happy. http://www.epingsoft.com/docx/docxv.asp

It would be best to send in a help desk ticket so that we can review your issues in full.
