  1. In all fairness to TCH the first official contact to our help desk took place at 2am last night. Your email has been resent. Thanks
  2. I hereby allow you to post as many times as you like in the TCH forums. After all your family now!
  3. The verison /sqmail is there because we added to our service lineup before cPanel bundled it. Thread is here http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...?showtopic=2481
  4. Gimmie a link to the forums.....
  5. Hi, I answered your questions in the presales ticket you submitted. Thanks for considering our services. Bill
  6. Yep Mike is right. If you do set up a redirection, any time that subdomain is accessed you will create a endless loop. The page will never be displayed. Remove the re-direction and things will be all nice again. Bill
  7. TotalChoice understands and appreciates the importance of reliable, fast and secure web hosting. While our partner Data Centers provide 24/7 monitoring of all of our servers, TotalChoice maintains its own Operations Center to provide an additional layer of monitoring, support and services. Our operations center is located in Burton, Michigan and is staffed 24 hours per day seven days per week. The TotalChoice Web Hosting Operations Center provides round-the-clock monitoring of all hardware, including routers, switches, UPS systems, and servers at all four of the Data Centers. In brief, this comprises; Monitoring of all critical services/ports, including: FTP, HTTP, SMTP, HTTPS, SSH, TELNET, CPANEL and POP3. Routine network monitoring of the Local Area Network, Internet connectivity (all routers, switches, and wiring), and the Internet backbone via MRTG and our custom tailored software. Close and constant communication with our Data Center providers to ensure that our customers have constant access to high-performance Internet connections 24 hours per day, seven days per week. An instant paging system to alert our staff to a failure on any monitoring service. This is supplemented by audible alarms and LAN messages. This monitoring system is known as "Project Hawk-Eye".
  8. Hi, Please take a moment to say hello to our newest support team member. Mike Hermon brings many years of hardware experience and hosting knowledge to the table and I am pleased to be able to have him on our side. Welcome to the family Mike! Mike's main focus will be looking after these very forums. I have several exciting forum projects planned and Mike will be taking on each one of them! Take a moment to say hello to Mike! Bill

  10. AOL IM seems to be online again!
  11. Appears AOL Instant Messenger is down. We are still running yahoo IM and Online Chat. Not sure if this is a nationwide outage for AOL or regional. Will update when its back up.
  12. We do not limit the size amount of email attachments. However most ISP's do.
  13. We are removing access to the formail and cgiemail scripts on our servers as I post this thread. There have been many attempts to exploit the scripts again. Please refer to this post on alternatives. At this point I am not sure if we will re-open access to the form mail scripts or not. They have simply been a target of much discussion and it may simply be easier to have customers use their own scripts. I will update more when we get to a final choice on what to do. For now access is removed. So if you had forms using the scripts you should re-code them NOW. Rick is starting on server4 and working his way to server36
  14. You can use almost any email client available. However, the only auto config option is for outlook express. Personally, I use PM MAIL 2000. You will just need to manually set up your email client.
  15. Recently cPanel acquired the rights to the X skin series of themes. Since then things have started to get better with that skin. However, we still feel the best skin to use for cPanel is BlueLagoon. Thanks
  16. Those emails are all formail.pl exploit attempts. A while back there was a huge hole in cPanels formail scripts. The spammers got ahold of it and abused it. The hole has been patched and the formail scripts appear to be secure now. What your seeing is attempts. These are common. Simply delete the emails. You will notice they are actual bounces. The mail never left the server.
  17. With the recent upgrades to cPanel, the dev team has been paying more attention to the users of spam assasin. In the previous build you would need to use a imap client to get to your spambox. Well not anymore. You can create a "new" e-mail account that has precisley the same settings as your e-mail account, but add: "/spam" to the end of the e-mail account username. This will retrieve only your SPAMBOX mail. In order for this to be useful, you will want to set up your e-mail client to deliver this SPAMBOX mail to a special folder (perhaps called spam?) automatically.
  18. The logs are in hex format. You will need a good access log program. Run a google search for Raw Access Log Viewer. Should give you plenty of results.
  19. I attempted to repair the issues on your DB and was unable to do so. Sorry That does not indicate that the errors are not fixable, it means someone with bigger brain power needs to look. I have sent your ticket over to our admin team for a peak. Alan or Mark will respond directly. If they can not restore it to a working state, we always have backups from last night that we can restore from. Bill
  20. I will leave the link-farm scripts for Scott to answer. That would be downright nice of you rayners. Still waiting for an answer from the MT Team. My gut reaction tells me that they will not grant a license for the one click install. However, we shall see...
  21. The big one - Most ISP's limit port25(send mail port) traffic sessions to 2mb.
  22. I consider the hosting of illegal bootlegged copies extraordinary. If your break the law, you are a violator. It matters not if your caught or not. What defense attorney would use the argument "but my client only shot him once". Your statement is what a violator says to excuse his behavior. When you violate you violate. The laws are not meant to be bent, twisted or broken are they? Let me point you to a specific law. It is a violation of federal law (17 U.S.C. 106(1)) to distribute, rent or sell illegally duplicated copies, even if the copies are made by someone else (17 U.S.C. 106(3)). The Communications Act of 1934, as amended, (47 U.S.C. 605) and related statutes also prohibit the unauthorized reception of films via satellite or cable TV. Copyright infringement and violation of the Communications Act are felonies under federal law and carry maximum sentences of up to five years in jail and/or a $250,000 fine. Both laws also provide for copyright owners to seek civil damages. Now, lets examine the thread starters question - That is in direct violation of federal law. I will quote directly from the law "distribute, rent or sell illegally duplicated copies, even if the copies are made by someone else". Case closed. If you host illegal content on our servers your site will be terminated without notice. I don't host spammers, pirates or bootleggers.
  23. Oh no, Lstover and Spitwad are head to head again. You guys are funny. Get two of the old timers in the same thread and watch out! Hmmm Lstovers post count = almost 2K Looks like you loose Ayman! woooot
  24. I have been in contact with Six Log (MT), lets see what they say.
  25. What if TotalChoice were to add the following add on scripts to all our servers? Allowing a ONE CLICK INSTALL? ›› Invision Board ›› PHP-Nuke ›› osCommerce ›› Post Nuke ›› Xoops ›› phpWebSite ›› phpAuction ›› Live Help *Live Chat Script* ›› phpBook ›› b2 (weblog) ›› phpAdsNew ›› phpCollab ›› 4Images Gallery ›› Advanced Poll ›› One Or Zero HelpDesk *HelpDesk Script* ›› Moodle ›› Gallery What if Total Choice allowed the customer to AUTOINSTALL any of the above scripts? One Click and its installed? What if TotalChoice accepted requests from clients for more scripts to be added within 24 - 48hrs? What if TotalChoice was to offer this at no extra cost to the client? Well?
