I will not be judging this entry, I may just get a cold beer during the judging of the second prize. This also gives me a chance to use my favorite mad cow joke: Two cows are hanging out in the field, chewing on some grass, when one cow says to the other: "Hey, what do you think of this mad cow disease? I know I do and it just goes to show how far TCH will go to make everyone happy. I never had any great expectations of winning in the first place, I had fun trying. If I had entered the contest with a simple caption (no graphics editing), and then found out that someone who went above and beyond a simple caption was chosen as the winner, I'd be upset at myself for not being more creative...or for not asking questions as to what was acceptable or not acceptable. This is a hosting company...not a contest company. That being said...there should be no expectations from customers as to how a contest was run or not run!!! We should all simply be thankful that such a wonderful hosting company has chosen to offer such a benefit! If you do something simply for what you can get out of it, then you are doing it for the wrong reasons. As to the contests, (whether I enter or not), I say, "Thanks, Bill and Staff, for giving me the opportunity to think outside the box, be outside the box and maybe learn a little something along the way!" aaron_ginn Posted December 2, 2003 Posted December 2, 2003 Bill, I know I said I wasn't going to comment on this subject again, but... I just wanted to say how impressed I am with this decision. While I thought there was some justification for the confusion regarding the contest, I never thought that TCH did anything underhanded or duplicitous, and I certainly don't think an additional prize was necessary to demonstrate what a great company TCH is. The decision to award a second-place prize is a prime example of how TCH is head and shoulders above any other hosting company I've ever used and goes above and beyond to satisfy their customers.
