TCH-Sales Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Paul Capello, the webmaster of thebestcasescenario.com will be on TechTV's The Screensavers this Monday! Feel free to talk about this topic here! I know I'll be setting the VCR for this one! Thumbs Up Quote
TCH-Rick Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 The segment even made the TiVo description. "New case with 'Matrix' theme." I've got my TiVo set and ready to record so I can zip through the annoying commercials. Quote
ejh Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Having trouble matching a screen name with a name... What's his Family Forum screen name? Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Paul is is CrimsonSky His site is www.thebestcasescenario.com Its a fascinating site! Quote
TCH-Dick Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Paul left for Cali from New York at 1PM this afternoon, He hates to fly so I dont know what he was more nervous about, the flight or the taping for the show. I've seen pics of the completed project, it is by far his coolest case yet! Once he gets back its back to work on another project code named "The Brothers Grimm" It will have a matrix theme also, but this one is going to be a secret until it is taken to the Winter CPL case mod competition in Dallas in December. Paul and I are both going and we'll take lots of pics!! There are a lot of good case modders out there on the net but Paul is deffinately one of if not THE best. He;s taught me a lot and I'm working on a case mod that I "might" take to CPL if i get it finished. It's not as detailed as Pauls work but I'm pretty proud of it. My Case Mod Quote
Frylock Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Hey finally a reason to watch Screensavers! Good thing about Tivo is not only can you pass up commercials, but it makes it easier to skip all the annoying parts (read: everything else). Maybe they'll have on more accused hackers trying to show how their efforts beifit us all... Quote
TCH-Sales Posted September 8, 2003 Author Posted September 8, 2003 Yep, tonight is the big night! Just looked at your case Mike, very good work! Quote
GroovyFish Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 but this one is going to be a secret until it is taken to the Winter CPL case mod competition in Dallas in December. Mike, Can you tell me more about this, or do you have a URL? My hubby would really love to go to this. (we are in Dallas). Thanks, Groovy Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Hey Mike, what is the case texture made of, you didn't glue each stone in place did you? this gives me ideas for my Dad to make a case with stained glass Quote
TCH-Rick Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Congrats! It was fun watching the hits come into the server during the segment and especially as they broke for a commercial. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 but this one is going to be a secret until it is taken to the Winter CPL case mod competition in Dallas in December. Mike, Can you tell me more about this, or do you have a URL? My hubby would really love to go to this. (we are in Dallas). Thanks, Groovy Heres the link for CPL The CyberAthlete Professional League Hey Mike, what is the case texture made of, you didn't glue each stone in place did you? this gives me ideas for my Dad to make a case with stained glass The bricks where made using 10" x 10" architectural models filled with bondo, once the bondo dried peeled them out of the mold and glued the sections to the case, then use bondo to fill in the cracks. The bricks where then painted flat black and then dry brushed with gray and white to give it the 3D look. The window fram on the right side is going to be the home of a backlit stained glass window, and there will be a working drawbridge on the front covering the CDROMS Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 The window frame on the right side is going to be the home of a back lit stained glass window with a stained glass damsel in the window? It is vary cool! Nice job Thumbs Up Quote
