sodbayar Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 hey guys, i got a question about iframe. is there any code or something to create an iframe that is transparent.?? i mean the background. help me if you know anything. thanx Quote
freddy Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Hi sodbayar, A separate page is loaded within the IFRAME. I'm geussing you would like to have the iframe more or less be invisible in this case? You can do this by removing the border of the iframe and changing the background color of the page that is loaded within the iframe. Also you might want to have a look at www.w3.org and view their online html reference. Excuse me if I misunderstood your question Hope it helps. F.meijer Quote
Lianna Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Give us the address of the page that you are displaying the iframe in. We'll take a look and suggest code mods. Lianna Quote
KevinW Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 not sure you can make the IFRAME transparent, since it is actually displaying a new HTML page within the acrollable area it defines. http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/frames/_IFRAME.html -kw Quote

TCH-JimE Posted April 2, 2003 Posted April 2, 2003 Whats going in the IFRAME? You can always use a scrollable DIV tag which works IMHO better then using annoying IFRAMEs Jim Quote
cjrdanes Posted April 2, 2003 Posted April 2, 2003 You can always use a scrollable DIV tag which works IMHO better then using annoying IFRAMEs How would one go about doing this? I didn't know that was possible. I use iframe on my site, and would love to know of an alternative. thanks, cjrdanes Quote
TCH-JimE Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Hi, Take a look at this page. Do you mean something like this: http://www.bostonspa.leeds.sch.uk/intranet...3/scrolldiv.htm (move your mouse over the up and down red arrows!) Jim Quote
TCH-Sales Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 Another thing about I-Frames to remember is to leave some sort of menu or return link to your main page. That way if a search engine links to this page, the visitor finding your page through the search engine won't be lost on where to go to see more great content! Quote
elvenjess Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 Hi, Take a look at this page. Do you mean something like this: http://www.bostonspa.leeds.sch.uk/intranet...3/scrolldiv.htm (move your mouse over the up and down red arrows!) Jim Doesn't seem to work in Mozilla... Quote
MoonFaery Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 Hi, Take a look at this page. Do you mean something like this: http://www.bostonspa.leeds.sch.uk/intranet...3/scrolldiv.htm (move your mouse over the up and down red arrows!) Jim Oh wow!! I've been trying to figure out how to do something like that for a while. How do you do that? Quote
Lianna Posted April 25, 2003 Posted April 25, 2003 MoonFaery, Here's a How-To that I had put together for a scrolling iframe implementation in CuteSITE Builder. Same principles, just the directions are catered to CSB. http://www.stoverdatasystems.com/scrolltest/ Quote
MoonFaery Posted April 25, 2003 Posted April 25, 2003 Cool! Thank you very much Lianna Pretty name by the way! Quote
Lianna Posted April 25, 2003 Posted April 25, 2003 Thanks. I hated it as a kid. No personalized pencils, license plates for the bicycle, name plates for the light switch...you know. I had even asked my Mom for permission to petition a judge to have my name changed when I was 12. She's a smart Mom and pretty much laughed me out of the room. Quote
