If you wanna blog, you should. I recently set up Wordpress (wordpress.org) to try it out but personally found no use for it. Which to use of the different blogscripts is like anything else, it varies with the person. Personally I found Wordpress easy to install and use...I just have to figure out what to use it for.

Hi and welcome Mark, I dont use either smart ftp or frontpage so I cant help you much on that specific question, but usually in a ftp program when you have entered the apporopriate folder in your ftp account is that you highlight the file that you need to change permission on, right click and select "properties" and there enter the appropriate permission, 755, 777 etc. Then click apply and disconnect. Exactly. I know it got a little confusing. I am sorry for that. What I tried to say is that people can not register domain2, domain3 and so on and point that to separate subdomains.

Let me explain what I mean... Lets say you have registered tchthomas.com and tchtompa.com. Note the difference. Then tchthomas.com.com and tchtompa.com must lead to same root directory/stuff. In this I can make subdomains. Lets say store1, 2, 3 and 4. store1.tchthomas.com > tchthomas.com/store1 store2.tchthomas.com > tchthomas.com/store1 store3.tchthomas.com > tchthomas.com/store1 store4.tchthomas.com > tchthomas.com/store1 store1.tchtompa.com > tchthomas.com/store1 store2.tchtompa.com > tchthomas.com/store1 store3.tchtompa.com > tchthomas.com/store1 store4.tchtompa.com > tchthomas.com/store1 I can not have tchtompa.com´s stores go to tchthomas.com/store2. So if I understand bgolders example correct above, I think its within the AUP.

You say its photos, have you considered installing one of the popular galleris too make the upload and viewing real simple? Im no code guy so maybe that code will make it even more simple, if so please disregard this.

I dont know if this will help, but see if you have >AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .htm .html .shtml in your htaccess. If not add it and see if it helps. If it doesnt, remove it.

Ok, sorry I missed that part when reading it. I think the support people only transfer sites to new root directories, but I had some problem when moving my sites to a reseller account which ended with the support people moving a site to a subfolder for me which is what you want to do as I understand. It wont hurt to submit a ticket and ask them. As for the databases, there is a simple way of making back ups of them in cpanel, which I strongly recommend you to do what ever way you transfer your site to a subdomain. Then if the move of databases goes wrong you have a backup which should be easily restored.

Does the other site that you want to move have cpanel?

Yes Bellringr, that I know would probably be ok. Its just that I read weezys post in a slightly different way. But I think I have an idea for my christmas thing. I just gonna talk Gissa & Piggie (my guinea pigs) in to modelling for me. How I now are supposed to do that.
