  1. yap . i just decided to use ordinary text links.. but now i ran into ANOTHER problem, which should be simple. i used my own links to keep the javascript. but with the design of the site, i wanted to implement PHP include command so i could just have 1 page to edit if i ever wanted to change the look of the site. my problem comes here, can i implement php coding into javascript? for example: my current link im working with is http://thinkmakeprint.com/FINAL/php/main.php scroll over the catalog link and click on the first drop down menu link (which should be "online catalog") and the link does 2 things incorrect: 1. it doesn't load the correct page 2. it doesn't load in the specified php include area im pretty sure this is a result to putting php into a javascript, is there anyway i can pull that off?
  2. naah that shouldn't be the problem. those coordinates are referring to the imagemap . those specific numbers are what specify the "catalog" part of the image
  3. I'm looking for some more help www.thinkmakeprint.com/FINAL/test.html I am using a javascript that enables a drop down menu with image maps, but I am running into a minor problem. If you scroll over the link "catalog" on the top of the design, you can see that the actual script and coding work, but the position of the drop down is not necessarily where I want it. I need help positioning the dropdown menu of "catalog" so it appears right under the title "catalog." Any advice?
  4. Thank you very much, but I'm still looking for help for my Internet Explorer problem. The code seems to not work right with IE browsers but well with any other one.
  5. http://www.thinkmakeprint.com/FINAL/index.html Above is the link to a website I am making for a friend. The current coding problem I am having has to due with the navigation above that lists the links "Home, About Us, F.A.Q., Location, and Contact Us." When I view the site with Mozilla Firefox, the navigation is viewed correctly, but when I view the site with Internet Explorer, all I see "Frequently Asked" and the rest of the words are no where to be found. I am using CSS/HTML to code the site and the <.ul> and <.li> tags for that part of the navigation. Any help?
  6. Can anyone direct me to any very user-friendly news/comment posting system PHP scripts? I'm looking for a script that allows you to post news with various users, and allow viewers to comment on news submissions. Anyone familiar with any good ones?
  7. do you know of anymore tutorial sites / walkthrough guides like the first one you gave out . im interested to see how the same concept can be "skinned.." and maybe help me understand the concept more
  8. ya it works now :/ for some odd reason . oh well . also, how do i make it so when i click on certain links, the title will change to the subject of that page.
  9. http://www.thinkmakeprint.com/phptest/test/main.php doesn't work for me ? :/ i downloaded the actual demonstration zip, i extracted it , and uploaded it to my ftp and iit doesn't work :/ any help?
  10. I see. I'm interested in how you do that. How do you just have 1 index page and have external information come from just putting ?file=blahblah at the end of a link? I'm very curious and I want to start organizing my websites like that.
  11. I just began my approach on learning PHP and MySQL. I recently just created my first database, username, blah via cpanel and still messing around with it. I've seen alot of sites that network all their links via php. Sometimes I see links on sites that look like this: http://www.addresshere.com?index.php?files=link How do designers/webmasters organize their sites so that links tend to direct like that? Is it using databases with MySQL or what?
  12. I got both. I know that the domain name is charged once per year, but I'm unsure of the monthly hosting plans. I was just wondering if I receive a confirmation email every month asking if I still want to accept charges for hosting.
  13. I recently signed up for TCH and I got my confirmation email that everything is complete and now I'm just waiting for the domain name. I used the paypal method and I decided to pay montly. How does the monthly payment work for that? Do I get a notification email every month asking if I still want to pay for the hosting?
