While not a security expert, I would think that as long as you don't have this in your www directory (and the proper permissions set), you should be ok. If I'm wrong, I'm sure others will chime in with the correct answer.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the internet! They may be webots or spiders from search engines. It's good to be paranoid. About the only way you can determine who is visiting your site is by doing a lookup on the IP address. (If there are more ways, other people will chime in also!) Do you have a listing (log file) of what specifically you are wondering about?

I would agree with Bruce. FP is a great program to learn HTML (look at the code on the HTML tab), but after a while, the frustration was just too much for me to take. While you don't have to go to the extreme of using a text editor, there are other tools out there (many free) that will do just as much if not more than FP, providing you learn even a little bit of HTML coding. Even a little bit will go a long way. You'll then look back on your FP experience and think "Wow! I've learned that much?"

Welcome Bill. I too use FF for all but those one or two sites that INSIST on IE. Alan: IE has and uses standards?

Does your second site have a need for SSL? (e.g. are you selling something?) If not, I would even mess with that. For what it's worth, the reason you're getting the error is that exactly what the error message says. Your security certificate doesn't match your domain name. It's not a major issue, unless you are selling something. Then it may be an issue because some people are really skittish about purchasing stuff on line that has an error message pop up. You need to be careful about "just clicking on things". The last person I knew who did that lost a lot of stuff (my father). Talk about a long phone call! Are you trying to publish this "new" site to a sub domain of your old site or a new domain?

Not sure if this may help, but Seagate drives are notorious for making a lot of racket...at least all the ones I've heard are! And I would take Don's advice and make backups of important data right away just in case!

Doesn't instill much confidence in your aircraft, does it? I liked all the bickering back and forth between the Linux and Windoze users. For those who might be interested, on the FAA side, they run everything from DOS to RedHat. Just depends upon the app.

The right-click, as Dick said, it easily defeated. You'd be better off putting a watermark on each image. The mouse trails, in my personal opinion, take away from the presentation of the data on your site. It's pretty cool, but it's very distracting (to me anyway ).

I would check out the websites and forums of the specific program(s) you're looking into. Most of the ones I've seen have pretty good tutorials and directions. Make sure you take lots of notes on what you do! It'll help in the long run!
