Please open a ticket to the helpdesk for the limits. We do not post them in public to prevent spammers from knowing them. No one is required to put the hosted by in their pages if they do not want to. That is unless you want a listing in the family pages. Some do it just because they are happy customers. Welcome to the forums.

I just thought of something. I think my above link applies to if you are hosting at Go Daddy. I "believe" If you open a ticket here explaining what you are trying to accomplish we can work out a solution for you but it may involve you pointing your name servers back to us. The helpdesk will have the answer we need though.

It wasn't that bad. About 10 minutes for all of them. I had to update 3 from 1.5.1 so I did the complete deletion of the admin and includes folders as well as the root files on those three and just those in the change log for the fourth. I had not upgraded earlier because the security issue was for the default template and hence the need to go from 1.5.1 to 1.5.1.2. I was not running the default theme so I had not bothered with the update. All in all, a fast update.

I am not sure, it is not a script I run. Someone should be along soon with some form of answer.

We cannot install it for you. You can however copy your files and database from your old host and upload them here.

Lol Thomas, I have four to update and I am getting ready to roll out two more.

Users cannot update this themselves. Depending on the severity of the issue as it relates to our customers determines the method. If it is a huge issue that we know will start causing problems then we may take it upon ourselves to update something. If it is something that has a very small chance of becoming an issue then we often wait for cPanel to update. At least that is my understanding of things.

Glad you got it working. -
Here is the link to the FAQ at Go Daddy to change your MX records.

Michael, How it works is that you will get your welcome letter. In it will be the name servers you will need to use to point your domain to your hosting account. What you will then do is log into the place where you bought your domain and set the name servers there to reflect those that we sent you. After that it can take up to 72 hours to propagate across the Internet and your name will begin to resolve to your account here.

Welcome to the forums. All I can do is echo what Bruce said. As for the merch account, I have never used them but I do like option three.

Ugh, They need to stop this. I am getting tired of upgrading every week or so.

Thomas is right.

Erik, Please understand that it is not done to hinder our users but to protect them. If anything happens because one user is affecting the resources or email sending capabilities on that server it causes issues for all of the other users on that server. For that reason we must put limits in place.

Dianna, Welcome to the forums. Can you provide us with the error messages you are getting?

Howto Setup A Second Phpbb For Testing

Dons way is faster and works great if you have not modified your forum too much. Create a new board in cPanel and export/import the db. If you have done a number of modifications then you might take a longer route. Create a new folder, copy the contents of the old board to the new folder. Create a new db, export/import tables from old to new and edit config.php to reflect new db. -
Well, I dont know what they will do in the ticket but you can turn yours off by putting the following in your .htaccess file. php_flag register_globals off

Right now it would be back to make wiser investment decisions in financial and educational areas of my life. Then again forward to see what has been invented and do it before that guy. Tough decision. I have no real date I want to visit. Too many options, could even go back to meet my grandparents who died before I was born. Soooooo many things one could do with that. I would need several tickets I think.

Find the config.php in your new forums directory and you can edit what db it uses from there. If I were doing a full cPanel install from scratch into the new folder I would delete the testforum db first just to have things in order -

It might be faster to install a second copy as you might want to open a ticket to find the answer to the error you are getting.
