Going with Bob on this one. How you connect is important to determine what steps might be needed.

Glad things got sorted out for you.

Unfortunately there are times that this is not an option. If the issue is severe enough, we have to take it down right away. Obviously, we do not want to have to do that so we can give as much notice as possible, but in this case there was little choice.

Jack, In most cases, the help desk does not have the capacity to resolve issues such as these. They are for server issues and the like. I would not give your username and password to someone in the forums for your protection. One of the mods or myself may be able to assist if we get some free time. I have some personal issues I need to attend to that take some precedence right now but if I get time I will try and contact you later to see if you have made any progress and offer help if I can. It has been a while since I have worked with Coppermine though so you will need to bear with me if I get in contact with you. Note, this is not normal procedure for the forum moderators. This would be of my own doing, I need something to take my mind off the days events, so if I do get some free time I will contact you. I also want to make it clear that it may not be till quite a bit later till I get to contacting you due to the things that I need to take care of. You can PM me with whatever details you want and I will see what I can do when I get back online.

How are you inputting your username? Is it just "username" or "cpanelname_username"? It must be the latter. The same goes for the database name, it should be "cpanelname_dbname". Welcome to the forums.

Hey Rich, Welcome to the forums. Let us know how you make out with it.

As far as I know, this should have no effect on shopping cart programs. It has been a while since I used one with a merchant account but I believe they use CURL in a different manner.

You can use an FTP program if you have one or you can use cPanels File Manager. In cPanel, navigate to the folder you want to change and click it. On the upper right, click Change Permissions. That is where you change them. In your cPanel there is an area called Addon Scripts. In there you have two forum boards; Invision (This forum uses Invision) or PHPbb.

I believe you need to CHMOD the edit directory to 755 or 766. What kind of message board are you looking for?

That's because you named your website sjvwcWebSite.htm. It needs to be named index.htm or .html.

Any time Nelson.

Welcome to the forums schwascore. I dont have that in my cPanel but if it is like the other script I have, I dont think you can. Whenever I have had a script that I wanted to install in root I had to do a manual install.
-
It should be under Addon scripts in your scripts library.

Thanks Thomas
