  1. I dont use the private services because I know that someday I may need a date with a naturally enhanced diploma selling discount software that filters SPAM.
  2. Howdy-ho Kyle, Welcome to the forums and the family
  3. So you are saying that nine dollars a year to prevent you from getting SPAM is steep?( Not directed at anyone ) It is a fact that spammers cruise the WhoIS info to get new names that pop up and use it to send spam. It is a fact that ICANN requires one to list valid information to assist in preventing fraud and helping law enforcement agencies amongst other things. You are still saving over the thirty-five dollars you used to pay for your domain names. I think it is a bit sad how we have come to feel like we should have all of these things for free when we are spending pennies compared to what we once were, even hosting. Look at what you get here for four dollars a month. Think back a few years and how much it cost then. I have been at this for a long time and can tell you in many ways we have it better now than ever before. I am about to step off my soapbox here and this rant isnt pointed at anyone in particular, lets just remember where we could be. Hope I didnt offend anyone as it was not my point.
  4. Dennis, It is an ICAN rule to have correct information. You will need to take it up with them.
  5. I will not be of any use here but I am sure someone will be along soon to provide an answer. Hang tight.
  6. You might want to look into Cute Site Builder. It should fit the bill and we have MANY users here that use it that would be happy to help out if they can.
  7. I am not sure if you can find it cheaper or not, most companies offering it are reselling it from Go Daddy. I am not sure if there are other versions but I know Domains by Proxy is owned by Go Daddy.
  8. Well Slap me and call me Suzie. Look at Rick making me look silly.
  9. Squirrel is the only one that works that way.
  10. You can make them use squirrel by giving them domain.com/sqmail
  11. I am not sure what script you are using but you might want to search and see if there are any vulnerabilities for it and consider switching to something else if you find anything.
  12. As far as the SPAM, it happens to all of us. Some viri send infected email in your name because you are in someones address book. Nothing to worry about there.
  13. So...I'm checking the forums here and I see you are new to posting here. Let me be the first to say.......Welcome Home
  14. waveflux, I dont know MT at all so I wont begin to lead you down a fruitless path but I would like to welcome you home. Thumbs Up
  15. Welcome home David Thumbs Up
  16. Have you looked at wiki.oscommerce.com?
  17. You can use the PayPal buttons on your site. When they select something a window will pop up with a running total of what they will buy. At the end they can check out at PayPals site and tell it to direct them back to a predetermined page after their purchase.
  18. Moved to looking for to get better exposure.
  19. OK, I am going to give this a shot, let me know if I miss anything. Yes, you will have no problem with that here. POP3, if you check your mail using Outlook or OE then when you check your mail that is POP3 and sending mail is SMTP, Send Mail is a UNIX mail transfer agent. I would Google them for specific definitions but know they relate to email. Yes and Yes An alias is like a forwarder. Several accounts pointing to just one. It can make it easier by not having to check multiple email accounts. I dont use them myself but some do. You can ask here if you wish on each specific item or give Google a go for an in depth definition. I am not familiar with that software but be very carefull with it, we look down on SPAM here. Oh, and ditch the Homestead account. The water is warmer here.
  20. Well, you are a girl. It might be tough.
  21. They can. No, they can have as many or more clients on them, smaller accounts though.
  22. You will not be forwarding. Where you purchased your domain login to the control panel there and change your name servers to the same one your first domain is using. Open a ticket via this link to the help desk and request to have it "parked" on your first domain.
  23. If we are going to move them then we will need the cPanel information from all of the accounts. You will want to get yours moved and then create the packages you want to give them. At that point open a helpdesk ticket to have them moved. Be as explicit as you can when making your request.
  24. OK, I am not sure if it is really a flowchart or not but it follows the concept. At a place I worked they had a troubleshooting tool that they had taken from a visio chart that explained the steps. What it did was give you step one and then the option of yes it worked or no. Click no and it would take you to the next step in the process and so forth. You only saw one box or step in the flow at a time. I dont know if he just made it from HTML or there was something that could do it for you. Am I insane or has anyone seen something like this?
  25. I know that feeling. Good luck to you. Make sure you dont go too far, we are going to miss having you on here as often.
