TCH is the best....within 30 mins of sending my help ticket in, my page was restored......now that's damn good service, and I put a low priority on it. A online friend just got a domain and hosting with TCH and he was very impressed with the backup program and all the other goodies. Thanks Rick I am very happy now and before I was looking at spending a couple hours at least redoing that page.....it's actually the main entry point to my site and has several jumps to other areas. Ok I just made a change to one of my pages......it's not the index but the next one which used to be my home page.....anyway all I wanted to do was add a new link to a blog and uploaded the wrong page so now all the old graphics buttons with links to the internal pages are gone. I am in the process of converting the site over by hand from Page Builder to Frontpage and I had not messed with this page yet and now I can't find the orig copy.....I looked in cPanel and all the content is there. Now my question is, is there a way to go back to the way it was yesterday? If not I will have to download all the files in the Public Folder and put the page back together. The time I made the change was around 745pm Thanks for any help

I am a newsgroup junkie and come across what I find interesting stuff and will copy and paste it into a post but I always post the link as well. I would suggest, if you don't have one already to add a disclamer or TOS thingy about giving credit were credit is do as to using, copying or posting anything from your blog.

Well I am trying to catch up and this thread caught my eye.....I read 2 to 3 books a week....got interested in Stuart Woods....murder mystery's and just finished James Patterson's new book "Honeymoon" great read I started yesterday around 4pm went to work today and finished it in about 2 hours. Your coment on reading online......I don't like to if it's work related.....so much of our processes and procedures are online and I print them out.....I like to highlight stuff that is important or that I need to find quickly<G> I have started taking the printouts to Office Max and getting them drilled and spiral bound.......I also do that with Computer type help books like FrontPage and HTML and others...it helps if the books can lay flat and the price to convert a 2 inch thick HTML book was less than 5 bucks. Anyway I prefer books over online unless it current events or breaking news....I watch very little TV....dumped Cable a couple years ago and never looked back Donna Oh I read lots of Science Fiction too and am a really bad speller

Ok I had a blonde moment I found a phpbb I set up for my family but they never used it and forgot about it.....I deleted it and the Chat thingy so hope that takes care of this.

Ok I am running Invision Board......this is from my admin page: PHP VERSION: 4.3.10, MySQL VERSION: 4.0.22-standard I received the email tonight and I am not aware I loaded phpBB unless it's the same as Invision Board? Thanks! Donna If by chance I did load it in the beginning to check it out how would I find it on my site index....cause I will just delete it.

I had the same problem and followed the directions for doing the blackhole thingy and get no mail now<G> my sites admin and webmistress addy's were spam magnets so I wiped them.

Not sure I understand how to do that but will check it out. In cPanel select Default Address. then select Set Default Address, select your domain name in the dropdown list and in the box to the right enter :blackhole: and save it. Ok that sounds easy Thanks again Rock Sign

I assume you have turned on Spam Assassin and the Spam box. If you turn off the Spam box and create an email filter to Discard any email with a Spam Assassin header equal to Yes will silently delete the Spam. Set your default email address in cPanel to :blackhole: and any email not directed to an account you create for email will be deleted. Yes I do have it turned on and will try what you suggested. Not sure I understand how to do that but will check it out. Thanks Bruce

Ok I have Neomail, Horde and Squirrel 1. If I pick Squirrel to use and delete stuff is the same stuff deleted off the other 2 mail programs? 2. I like the folder setup in Horde.....you can just check the folder [spam] and empty it. 3. Speaking of Spam is there any way I can set it to be deleted automaticaly? Seems to me if the program is smart enough to put spam in the spam folder it should be smart enough to just delete it too<G> Ok now to my assigned mail account.........this is the one I was given when I got my hosting information. I never gave out the addy or used this account for mail except maybe one text mail to my Verizon account. All that comes into that account is spam.....can that account be dumped. If it can't can I at least block all email. I hate spam and use my Verizon account for family and frends, I have another pay for account at annexcafe for using in public newsgroups......it works great and no spam gets to my inbox, I have it set to block spam at the server. I really would like to use a mail account from my domain and think I can handle the spam comming in for the admin addy but the main addy I can do without. Hope I made sense.......sometimes I have a hard time explaining what is bugging me

Have you tried Verizon? I have a dial-up and love their newsgroups service, they will add groups for members after 7 days if the group is valid. However if your not interested or able to switch ISP's there are several pay for news services like giganews that are not to costly. Goggle does not carry the bin groups AFAIK, I use teranews as a backup and it works fairly well. Verizon also has internal newsgroups for members and the server/newsadmins will post replies.......they also have a flame group where posts are sent if the posters get carried away and a general discussion group and server groups for ADSL, security and other tech type stuff. Anyway I started with MSN for 3 years and dumped them when they went to online communities, went to Earthkink another 3 years and was not happy with there news servers or customer no service.....as to newsgroups so switched to Verizon about a year ago and have been very happy. Yes newsgroups access is very important to me

Thanks I found his site going a google and sent him an email.....he says it can be done but it won't be easy. My main task is to get the links changed and go from there<G>
