Thomas - We have several varieties of yellow tomatos here in the States - they are supposed to have a lower acidic content. Wonder how that would work out - would they be considered the same as a ripe, red tomato? Hmmm.... Cute story - thanks for sharing.

Hey, don't forget Voldemort will do in a pinch! Where's a good parseltongue when you need one?

GF - good idea, if it's possible to modify the error message. Cooler still if a direct link to entering a ticket could be placed in the message. Even without a link, the instructions alone would be terrific put right in front of a user's nose. Thumbs Up You get the extra gold stars today!

Samantha - How'd your Mom fare after everything with Frances? Will keep extra good thoughts for her. Weird ways these things show up in our daily lives in the rest of the country - just got an e-mail today from the company I purchase my vitamins and supplements from down in FL. Their company has been shut down because of the hurricanes. I placed an order last Friday and got the auto-response, never gave it another thought. Today, they wrote in person telling me my order will be delayed but they're working as fast as they can. This is just one e-commerce company! How is your company doing? Are you up and running? I think I'll put three candles in the window for you this time! Sounds like a whole bunch of darkness we need to keep away. Beth

Core FTP Lite - it's free, it's intuitive, it handles large loads without so much as a hiccup. Online docs are clear and easy to understand, maintains settings for multiple connections which you can choose from, and all around is just an easy to use, reliable product. Thumbs Up

Altering Html-insert To Call Up E-mail

Thank you all for the great input! I'm looking at all sorts of options, but will definitely use a form. Spam is very high on my list of undesirables. I, too, realize now that a site is always a work in progress but hope to get close to a releasable version of the rework sometime in the next week or so. I read every new post in every forum daily - even the ones that are way above my head. I learn something new every day. Little by little it sinks in, or somewhere down the road a light comes on. This time around I've realized that my 1999 HTML Bible leaves a lot to be desired in 2004! Time to spend some bucks and update it - oh well, I like buying books and Amazon loves to see me coming! Again, thank you for all your help, it is greatly appreciated. Thumbs Up PS: I got that factory-sealed CD-ROM drive for $12 and change, including shipping! On it's way to me now - woo hoo!! -
As a former state and municipal employee, plus receiving a partial police pension from my late husband, the government pretty much knows anything they want to know about me - even the brand of toilet paper I use. The national ID card scares the shorts off of me - they'll have to drag me kicking and screaming into that one. I'm pretty unhappy about all-electronic medical records as a matter of fact. Information electronically available is information available for sale and misuse - no thank you. It's a slippery slope toward totally eliminating the patient's right to privacy.

Sending the best thoughts in your direction, Samantha. We got the tail end of Frances yesterday and through the night last night - up to 6 inches of rain in some parts of the state, mostly northeast Ohio. We've had another round of flooding that's put hundreds of families out of their homes again. Homes that survived the spring tornados and floods aren't surviving this round of flooding. Saw a special about your citrus farmers the other night - that's a real tragedy. They said it may take up to 5 years for that industry to recover because of root rot to the trees. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and try to send Ivan off course. Be well and keep safe!

Welcome, Kate! We have something in common, we found TCH first and made the wise choice for web hosting services. If it gets any better than TCH, well, Bill and Patty just haven't thought of it yet. Glad to have you join us - hope you're feeling right at home already! Thumbs Up Rock Sign Rock Sign Rock Sign Rock Sign Rock Sign

This morning I was semi-clueless, tonight I have a solution on its way to me from California! Got that new, factory sealed drive on eBay - $12.94 out the door including shipping! I'm a very happy camper. Thanks again - you guys are the best. Now to figure out where I stashed my old briefcase. I know there's a static strap in there.

Altering Html-insert To Call Up E-mail

OK, makes sense not to put myself in a position to get a ton of spam. Ultimate Form Mailer - cPanel or 3rd party apps? Oh, it looks like I just might snag that CD-ROM drive for $4.99, shipping is $8 so I'm pretty jazzed about that solution. No one else has even looked at it for the week it's been listed and there's only 3 hours left. Bob - I wanted to call up an e-mail fast response, but Bruce has a good point, one I certainly wouldn't have considered. Now it'll be a new adventure learning Ultimate Form Mailer. But for reference, can you tell me what's the difference between what you posted and what Raul posted? I'm copying them both into a NotePad file and putting it into my "HTML Toolbox" directory. Lost that when my system crashed and just about cried - now I back it up once a week to a sub-directory here. You guys are great - you can't know how much I appreciate your help. -
I know this probably belongs in HTML, but since I'm using CSB thought I'd start here for the benefit of other CSB users. Following is a piece of HTML from Samantha's amazing site, www.samisite.com, that I've used in redesigning my website. It creates the rollover buttons at the bottom of the home page (yes, I know my table borders are showing.) new site redesign The first 5 buttons call up another page in the site. I'd like this button to call up Outlook Express and fill in the Send To: address so the user can contact me easily. First, are there sites on the web that have scripts like this already written out for the grabbing? If so, will you share them with me? ><STYLE type=text/css> #rollbutton3 a { color: #003333; font-size:12px; font-family: verdana; font-weight:bold; text-decoration: none; border:4px inset #CCCCE4; background-color:#C0DCC0; display: block; width: 150px; height: 25px; padding: 5px 5px; margin: 7px; } #rollbutton3 a:hover { background-color: #CCCCE4; color:#808080; padding-left:3px; border:4px outset #C0DCC0; } </STYLE> <DIV id=rollbutton3> <DIV><A href="http://www.deliahfair.com/newsite/liveetc_htm.htm" title="Contact Me" onfocus="this.blur()" target="_top"><center>Contact Me</center></A></DIV> </DIV> I looked at Samantha's site, under the HTML and CSB forums, went to WWW3's site, and searched my always trusty Platinum Edition of the HTML Bible - couldn't get anywhere near close to an answer. Can anyone offer some help, or point me in the right direction? Samantha's tutorial on rollovers is really great. You can find it at: http://www.samisite.com/test-csb/id95.htm Thanks!!

Sam - That story made the news here in Northern Ohio. My thoughts and prayers are with you and their families. Take care of yourself.

Glad you got it fixed, John. The dreaded fuzzy-brain gets me all the time!
