  1. IM me when you get the chance. I have an idea but it will be easier to handle via IM.
  2. Your information looks fine from a whois search. If you would go ahead and register on this forum so you can send and receive Private Messages I can give you more information on options. In general terms, you have the option of transferring your domain name registration through our Domain Registrations link. It takes some time to complete and the fee you pay would add a year to the current time. You can also remain with your current registrar and simply change the nameservers listed with them to the ones you will be given when you sign up for an account. This can be done from a control panel on their page. Send me a Private message or email and I'll help you sort it all out. Oh yes, one other thing. You can go ahead and sign up for your hosting account even before you have changed anything. Just enter your domain name when prompted and check the box that says you will be transferring the domain and handling the nameservers.
  3. If you would either post the domain name here or send it to me in a PM we can try and help determine who it is registered with and give you some options on how to proceed.
  4. If you can see your index when you put in your domain name you are ready to go. There was a misunderstanding of the terms. Transferring a domain generally refers to changing the company that handles that domain. Since you have changed the nameservers with your registrar all is well. Sorry to have confused you. Transferring ownership does require answering the emails in order for it to take place while changing the nameservers is usually a matter of the user editting the settings with the registrar and no further action is needed.

  7. IM me or send a Private message with more info (name, domain, etc.) and I'll see if I can help you.
  8. Near the bottom is a MySQL section. Choose Manage MySQL to create a db and user.
  9. Please send me a Private Message with the information about the account, your name, and email address and I will see what we can do to help.
  10. No, you don't have to respond to that. You've just changed the nameservers with your existing registrar. That will work fine once the changes have propagated. Transferring a domain is a little more complicated and refers to changing the registrar and not just the nameserver. You should be fine. Welcome, again. By the way, I registered a new domain this morning and just noticed that I can see the site. New domains propagate a little quicker than existing ones. Thumbs Up
  11. Just a heads up: Be sure and answer any emails you receive on the domain transfer from both the old and new registrar. There are three parties that have to agree to a transfer, the old registrar, the new registrar, and the registrant (you.) Failing to answer the emails will cause it to fail and you have to start over. Welcome to TCH.
  12. You can upload the phpbb.zip using any ftp program or cPanel File Manager and then use the File Manager to unzip it. If you have any problems let me know but unzip is installed on all the servers now.
  13. Yes, you must have a file called index.html or index.htm (or default.html) or you will get the index instead of your page. An easy solution is to make a copy of the page you want to see and name it index.html. You can just rename it but you also have to be sure to change any references to it in other files.
  14. We'll hope for the shorter propagation time. Just sit tight and it will happen soon. Welcome to the TCH Family.
  15. The latest upgrades seem to have fixed the MySQL database corruption problems. I haven't seen any problems the last week or so.
  16. It looks like the bug was squashed with the latest upgrades. Haven't seen this problem mentioned lately.
  17. From Check DNS: Looks like they are both parked. You need to go to the Domain Regostration Page and Log in and change the nameservers to the ones in your welcome email. Let us know if you have any problems.

  19. You should have had an option somewhere when you were registering the domains to either point them to your TCH account or park them. What were the domain names and we can look and see if the nameservers are set correctly?
  20. There is a section below all the clickable emoticons called File Attachments. Hit browse, find the file on your computer (preferably a jpg file for size reasons) and you can attach it to your message. The area is right above the Add Reply button.
